List of Jyoti Bhat's Reviews
Because I use yelp to help me find good services, I decided to write this review. I would not recommend Jiva Health and Dr. Bhat. Appointment was very disappointing as I went there to go over serveral questions and blood test results and unfortunately her answer to everything was hmmm yeah strange, maybe you should see your allergist or pcp. She had no answers, did not listen to my concerns, and only encouraged me to ask other doctors. She was more concerned about typing into the computer than listenening to the patient, which unfortunately seems be where medicine is at. She was very rushed to end the appointment. Again very disappointing to pay an $85 copay and get zero out of it. Need to find a new endocrinologist!
Jyoti Bhat has treated me for the last four years and I am very happy with the way she has helped me manage my hypothyroidism and blood pressure issues. She is straightforward and easy to talk to and runs a highly efficient office. I would highly recommend her to anyone.
I’ve been going to the Antioch office for over 2 years. When I started my blood pressure was out of control, borderline diabetic and had sleep apnea, I have lost weight, blood pressure is under control and so is my glucose. I never wait more the 5 minutes to see the doctor and appointments are easily made. I feel they listen to my concerns and do everything to address them, I never feel rushed. I would recommend this office to anyone.
Dr. Jyoti Bhat knew very little about general health and seemed unprepared when I had a preventative checkup/first visit. She coded the appointment as a specialist appointment with problems of moderate to high complexity (a very basic preventative general practice checkup, mind you) and I had to fight to get it recoded (their billing department refused initially, saying "she can't recode it because she's a specialist and it HAS to be a specialist code"). That was a red flag to me, but I fought it and got it recoded so my insurance would cover it (clearly this wasn't true about being forced to code as a specialist when it's not a specialist appointment). However, Dr. Bhat ordered labs (regular bloodwork) and then told me I had to come back in for the results (Kaiser just mails a letter with results), so this seemed suspicious. The second appointment, I was charged the wrong copay (more expensive than it should be) and she literally just told me my labs were fine and I got charged for it. Billing told me my insurance also didn't cover some of it, so I later paid another fee, then found out my insurance was covering it and I deserved a refund. The billing department has now come up with NO LESS THAN FOUR OR FIVE DIFFERENT STORIES ABOUT WHY I SHOULDN"T GET MY REFUND, and then created more fraudulent charges as a way to deter me and make me feel like not getting my refund was okay as long as I didn't OWE them. This is flat out insurance fraud. They are definitely in it to make money and refuse to refund money that they overcharged. Later, I met with a different doctor who, via the same lab results, said my testosterone was high, by the way. In short, bad practice and fraudulent charges make Dr. Bhat a poor choice for a doctor.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
