Horrible doctor. Rude, condescending, and incompetent. I saw him for numbness in my hands, and with a minute-long exam, he said I needed surgery. On the day of surgery, he was over an hour late to arrive. He wanted to add wrist surgery to the elbow surgery and said if I didn't agree, I'd have to have surgery again in five months. He did the surgery and disappeared, not giving me a prescription for pain meds. The nurses tried to contact him but ended up discharging me. I tried calling his office later that afternoon, and the person there expressed surprise that I had no meds, that he would contact the doctor, and get back to me. No one ever did. I ended up getting pain meds the next day from the VA. I received no follow up from Hanna. I had been told I could exercise in three weeks. After a month, I called saying I was in pain. Now I was told it would be eight weeks. It eneded up taking a year, and the reason for my surgery never got better. Avoid this doctor!
This review is for Kenny Hanna when he was with the Foot and Ankle Specialists of Nevada. This was perhaps the worst medical experience I've had. I was sent to him from the VA due to the wait time there. I'd had numbness in my hands, and at my first visit, he came in, took a minute to look at my arm, and told me I needed surgery in my elbow to fix it. He immediately left. OK, he was brusque, but I thought I'd withhold my opinion until after surgery. Along comes the surgery. I went in and waited . . . and waited . . . and waited. I could hear the nurses outside wondering where he was. Over an hour later, he finally arrived at the hospital. Someone came in to check on me and mentioned my wrist surgery. I said, no, I have elbow surgery. A perturbed-looking Hanna came in and I mentioned that he'd only looked and discussed my elbow. He then looked disgusted and said that I don't have to have the wrist, but I'd, in his words, "just be back in to see me in five months." He actually scowled at me. I should have taken stock of the situation, but he's the doctor, and both being only in a surgical gown and laying there for over two hours, I was not too assertive, so I told him to do what he thought best. I came out of surgery, and as the nurses prepared me for discharge, then asked me for my pain medication prescription. I said I didn't have any. They seemed very confused, and I heard them discuss this outside. One nurse told the other to find Hanna. I don't know what transpired, but finally, a worried-looking nurse discharged me without medication. By late afternoon, the pain was growing, and I called the office. Someone there was surprised that I didn't have any meds, and she said she'd track down Hanna to get me some. I was not called back. That night was one of the worst in my life. The pain was significant. I couldn't sleep. I called again in the morning and had to leave a message. No one returned my call. Around lunch time, I gave in and went to the VA. A doctor there was shocked that I'd been given nothing, and she gave me a prescription, which I took for two days until the pain was more manageable. When I was told I needed surgery, I was told that within three weeks, I'd be back in the gym. This was not true. Well, I was physically in the gym, but I couldn't use my right hand. I did what I could, which wasn't much. My elbow was fine, but my wrist was extremely painful--not just the wrist, but up though the meaty part of my thumb. After a month, I called Hanna's office, and I was told then that three weeks was the "minimum," and that eight weeks was more likely. I was told by the person on the phone how to speed up the process, which was the first post-operative instructions I'd been given. Now, I am at 14 weeks, and I still cannot exercise properly. The meaty part of my thumb still hurts, and I cannot put pressure on it. Worse than that, the numbness issue was not solved. I am no better off now than I was before Hannah operated on it. Then, yesterday, I received a bill from the clinic. I tried to call the number given to tell them the VA was paying for the surgery, but no one would ever pick up, and the mailbox was full. This was not a good experience. Hannah has no reasonable bedside manner. He seemed angry to be seeing me, and his condescending attitude was not appreciated. Then he neglected on giving me any pain medication when it was obviously warranted. I still cannot fully use my right hand, and the core reason for the operation was not corrected. In my humble opinion, Hannah is incompetent. I will not go back to him for my other arm, and I would suggest that anyone contemplating surgery on his or her arm or hand choose another health-care provider.
Uncaring staff and Doctor. Have broken arm now for almost 4 weeks. You leave MANY messages..they do not return calls. Will contact Humana and file a complaint.
I have complete trust and confidence in Dr. Hanna. He corrected a previous Dr's misdiagnosed treatment as much as possible. Dr. Hanna always takes the time to explain everything and is very patient and compassionate.
Very good straight to the point no nonsense surgeon. Dr. Hanna looked at my shoulder after two surgeons previously said I needed a total shoulder replacement. Dr. Hanna recommended a scope procedure. We agreed that he would go in clean the area out fix the torn labrum to buy time for the replacement. It actually turned out much better than just a clean out. He fixed my torn labrum, rotator cuff, bicep and bone spur. Very happy.

Best news ever. No pain to speak of after the surgery or now. I was living with an ice pack 24/7 prior to the procedure so with instant relief after is a complete blessing. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Hanna anytime.
He claims to be an orthopedic doctor and a biriatric surgeon. He's a quack. Look for him under the orthopedic doctors in NV no where to be found. I got taken by him. He did 3 surgeries on me, I feel worse now then before I had my surgeries. Go see Dr Bernard Ong. You'll find him under the orthopedic doctors website of NV.
Dr Hanna is a negligent and under-qualified Dr. My hand is permanently damaged because of his gross negligence. He said it was simple and I would have full function of my hand. The day he was to reset and pin my finger he was late and noticeably tired after a long day working at the hospital...his other job. It was 10pm and I did not feel good about it but felt I had no choice. He did not reset my finger, he pinned it in the broken position for over 10 weeks! I learned later this is a no-no!
The worst and most negligent Dr in practice! I have permanent damage to my hand now. I came to him with a broken hand. He said it was simple, reset it, pin it and after I would have full function. On the day of surgery he was over an hour late which made the appointment after 10pm! He was noticeably tired from working all day at his other job...that should have been my sign to leave but there was no other Dr who could take me and I hoped for the best. He did NOT reset my finger...he pinned it in the broken position for over 10 weeks! I later found out that this is not how its done. When I voiced my concerns that I did not feel it was pinned in the correct position and asked for an ex-ray to confirm...he denied me and repeatedly said no, saying that I should be careful for the radiation ex-ray emits. I tried to seek legal help to sue him for his negligence but was turned down because the state of NV as laws against holding Dr's responsible for negligence UNLESS there is loss of limb or death! I had several appointments with other dr's to see what I could do and they all said that he should have NEVER kept my finger pinned for longer than 3 weeks and that the kind of break I had only needed to be reset and put in a splint for 4 weeks. The only good that I can take from this experience was a dear friend of mine who her son broke his hand the same as mine...he somehow found his way to Dr Hanna who set the date for some crazy surgery with pins. Thankfully and luckily his mother remembered what happened to me and asked what Dr I had seen....when I told her she immediately canceled her sons appointments and called a Dr friend who told her that Dr Hanna is NOT EVEN BOARD CERTIFIED!! He recommended Dr Jedidiah Jones...a WONDERFUL hand dr who I tried to get into but could not. He reset the boys hand and put in a splint for 3 weeks and a short time later he has FULL FUNCTION of his hand.

DO NOT TRUST THIS DOCTOR! Well well well a few months later and what do you know, my right hand is PERFECTLY NORMAL. Doubt you remember - you said my right hand was PERMANENTLY DAMAGED and that there was NO amount of treatment that would fix it. (hand badly crushed in a ATV accident). You said this after 2 visits! Wrong 5 mo later - MY HAND IS %100 HEALED / NORMAL! Zero surgery / physical therapy. Doubts?, I would love to give you you an update on your lack of knowledge /skills. loser
So many things wrong but I can only type in 150 characters. So I can't tell you about it. I was ran around. I was overcharged. My hand isn't better. And I just got a bill for $65780.00 even though Dr. Hanna said my insurance would cover it. Now I can't get a hold of anybody.
Very personable, intelligent and honest doctor. We discussed many different options and came up with one that was right for me. I highly recommend him!!
I went to a consultation with Doctor Hanna because I had been having terrible pain my left hand. He got me in as soon as he could which was 2 days later and he diagnosed my problem and fit me in for my surgery in 3 days. The surgery went great and my check up with him was great as well. He was very kind and made everything a lot easier for me.
Dr Hanna is very good at what he does...nothing but great results!! I was hesitated at first to come for treatment, and I can honestly say the trip was worth it. Dr. Hanna's record speaks volumes!

Worst doctor out there, i think he lazy and tells you information late. Now he telling me to go back to work after a month. My hands still dont work right... How horrible doctor you are Kenny Hanna" Im looking for a second opinion doctor
GET A 2nd OPINION! My 1st visit (12 days after accident) - Dr. Hanna said my hand was too swollen and bruised to be able to treat or even order an MRI. Scheduled me to follow up 3 weeks later at which time he was able to Diagnose my injury and tell me there was 0 treatment for me and that it was permanent damage - he did this WITHOUT AN MRI or EVER touching my hand! 2 days later a REAL HAND SPECIALIST evaluated me and gave the OPPOSITE diagnosis after a REAL EVALUATION. Shame on Lazy Dr. Hanna Taking the time to write this in hopes the next person can avoid going through the same roller coaster that I have. Avoid Dr. Hanna at all costs....you will be grateful in the end.
He isn't a nice person. I was very disappointed he didn't know much about hands after all. He ordered the wrong MRI for a ligament tear. Called the office 2x to have corrected order faxed over. I was put on hold for 32 mins. waiting for help.
I was treated by Dr. Hanna in Feb. 2017 for pain in my wrists and thumbs, also known as De Quervain's tenosynovitis, "mommy thumb/wrist." He immediately recommended surgery and did not spend any time discussing the underlying problems or ways in which to avoid surgery. He also injected my right thumb/wrist area with a steroid that bleached the skin on my hand, due to the steroid containing preservatives and/or inserting the injection too high. I also suffered from a tremendous amount of pain.
