Horrible and tragic...because of him I suffer now of PTSD

This man should lose his license. For starters, he has a full office of patients waiting on him to show up for 30 minutes past their appt time. His office staff doesn't even think ahead and put you in a room so you are ready for when the Dr shows up. I had 2 ultrasounds done with this dr one in the office and the other at an outside imaging center. I had knee surgery, so I could not make it to my follow-up & asked that he call me to provide results. It has been four months, and still no follow-up. I had to call the imaging center to get a copy to find out that I have a health concern with my liver, and this quack dr couldn't even do the basics in following up via phone. It takes literally 5 minutes of your time in a new world of COVID; this should be second nature. The dr doesn't care about his patients, whether they are in the office or not. You should surrender your license because you clearly do not care about the standard care of your patients.

I had an endoscopy with Dr. Ojuri. He did not recognize the ulcer in my stomach but somehow punctured it. I bled internally overnight to the point where my husband had to call an ambulance because I could not get out of bed in the morning and spent 4 days in the hospital. The doctors at the hospital performed another endoscopy and stopped the bleeding. But I bled so much I could barely walk or take care of my children for almost a month. And his office at West Gastroenterology Medical Group refused to even give me my results afterwards or send them to my PCP.

I’m 78 years old and have seen various doctors for decades. For the first time, I decided to write a review to share my experience with this doctor. I’ve never encountered this level unprofessionalism and disregard for a patient as I have with Dr. Ojuri. When he made me wait over an hour (during COVID) for a 10-min consultation, I should’ve already been suspicious of his poor time management. But since he was the doctor my insurance approved, I went ahead and made an appointment. My first appointment for an endoscopy (which requires me to fast before the procedure) was canceled the day before because he was going to be out that day. They rescheduled my endoscopy for the following week. On the day before my second appointment, his office called me again to cancel. I was rescheduled for the third time. Given the history of first two appointments, I decided to give his office a call the day before to confirm if my procedure was still on. I got his answering service, so I left a message to call me back to confirm if my appointment was still good. I didn’t get a call for a cancelation so I assumed it was on and proceeded to fast and prepare for my procedure. I no longer drive so it’s a hassle to get a ride to and from the place. When I arrived on the day of my appointment, I was informed that my name wasn’t on the list for endoscopy that day. No one even bothered to call me the day before! I then decided to Google this doctor to see if my experience was an anomaly. Sure enough, I’m was not alone. The reviews for Dr. Ojuri were overwhelmingly negative. My only regret was not Googling him before making an appointment with him. This doctor wasted almost a month of my time because I now have to start over with another doctor. I just hope this delay hasn’t made my medical problem worse.

Terrible, told my mom in order for her to get a new liver someone else has to die and made it seem like she wasnt worthy of saving. And then proceeded to tell us she is ok with just a 5% liver and quality of life wasnt something we should concern ourselves with. And then told us they couldnt prescribe any medication because they didnt have the correct licenses. It felt like a butcher shop. And made the distinction that she is beyond saving. Bed side manners was herendous didnt explain what we needed to do and didnt tell us what steps we needed to perform.

I have taken my dad to this office location more than 5 times, and im very sad to say each visit was a horrible experience. First and foremost they called to cancel an appt. for my dad on the day of the appt. and keep in mind I had to take time off work to take my dad to these appts. Secondly they’ve misplaced his paperwork each time we had a visit the wait time is impeccable, they are very unprofessional thirdly Dr. ojuri speaks to us in a loud rudely manner has no sincerity when presenting bad news and has multiple times told us “what u want me to do”. Fourthly they’ve sent out incorrect code to his insurance company for a prior authorization approval for a procedure that need be done, which counts for longer wait time. I’ve walked out of his office with tears in my eyes because of the lack of compassion he has for my father “his patients” and hearing multiple times “what u want me to do” why are you here” there’s nothing I can do” in the most insincere way possible.

I really liked this dr. I would go to him in a flash if he was a primary. He explained my test results and was informative about a surgery i had 8 years ago somewhere else. It was info I should have known back then and now am able to stop a medicine I have been taking! He was humorous, kind, informative, caring.

First of all, I had to wait 30 min for the doctor! If that wasn't bad enough he told me "do I have to explain it to you again?" He has a horrible bed side manner. He was very impatient. I will never go to him again. I'm going to ask for another doctor. I would never recommend him to my worst enemy.

Dr. Ojuri came into the office, introduced himself and shook my hand. He proceeded to ask me to explain to him why I was there. I explain to him why I was there he listened patiently he was very professional he had no radio, no cell phone. This a very professional man not very talkative he listens that’s what doctors need to do. Based on what I told him he said I needed Endoscopy, a procedure and a CT scan and based on the longevity of my illness that’s exactly what I was expecting to hear. I think many of these reviews are fake and done intentionally to make this doctor look, maybe because he is Black. I’m a good judge of character and I don’t believe for a minute he did what they said he did. Glad I found him.
