HORRIBLE experience, office is disorganized and inefficient. Staff never sent paperwork promised, stuffed waiting room like sardines while one staff member runs around on the phone locking and unlocking the door taking temperatures telling everyone to take a seat. I took my elderly mother for her visit ,Doctor Capistrano was very professional and patient. She provided great explanation for all the questions. She figured out that my elderly mom was born prematurely just by looking through her eyes. Very impressive! I Highly recommend her.

I was referred to Dr. Capistrano by my Primary Care Physician for cataract surgery. My first meeting with her was a very thorough examination of my eye, in preparation for the surgery. The surgery went very well & Immediately after the patch was removed, I felt like I had a brand new eye. Dr. Capistrano is absolutely great. Her office is well organized, staff are courteous, professional & give good & helpful instructions. After meeting with Dr. Capistrano, I decided I am not going back to my previous ophthalmologist. I give her 5 stars & would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a good eye doctor!

Long story short: optic embolism plus diabetes equaled neovascular glaucoma. I was in desperate need of help. Emergency status. I was referred to Dr. Capistrano by the retinal specialist I went to, to get a proper diagnosis. They were great. They did all they could at that moment but told me “ your situation needs the absolute best doctor we can refer you to and she is Dr. Capistrano “. I never asked a question. I just showed up at her office as she was expecting me. She was extremely thorough and concerned not just about my eye but about my overall health. She went above and beyond to get me the best care and acted fast. Dr. Capistrano performed the surgery and kept me calm and aware of my surroundings throughout the surgery. She is a blessing to those she serves. Great bedside manner and is transparent and honest. Follow her advice and take care of your health and she will support you along the way. She actually gave me her cell number just in case I had complications after surgery. Hands down, considering the circumstances, she is the absolute best Opthamologist I could ever recommend.

Dr. Capistrano did the cataract extraction on my left eye, and she was amazing. I can see a lot better and clearer. She is very caring and all her stuff are excellent. I trusted her so much in two weeks she will do the same process for my right eye.

I am a retired RN, and office manager, so I feel I have some experience in evaluating my care-givers. Dr. Capistrano provides excellent monitoring of my glaucoma, and other vision problems. She uses with the latest appropriate procedures, tailored to me and my needs. I appreciate her professionalism. She explains things clearly. It's important to trust one's doctor, particularly when it comes to eye care, and I've never doubted her. The office is run efficiently as well, and I have felt safe during the pandemic. I would most definitely recommend Dr. Capistrano to any one needing ophthalmic care.
