Ruth Rubin's Online Review Report Card

Signed on for thousands of dollars to be a concierge patient.  Sent WRITTEN instructions to not charge my credit card for quarterly fees before they spoke with me. They charged me without speaking to me first and my husband was still with his concierge doctor.   Tried to make a simple zoom appointment with the incompetent staff for weeks.  Most times I called the line was busy and when I did get through I was put on hold. Then when I told a friend (whose husband is a doctor) she informed me they had the same issues with Dr. Rubin's staff and quit her practice.

Dr Rubin has been my personal and my family's PCP for 25+ years. She is the most caring, compassionate and knowledgeable MD I know. She also knows who the best of the best are and is able to connect her patients with them as well. I know this first hand when Dr. Rubin diagnosed and secured treatment for me for a near-death ruptured brain aneurysm I experienced.

Dr. Ruth Rubin is the most caring physician I have ever known. You feel totally at ease discussing any problem you may have. To her you are a person as well as a patient. I call her my "North Star" because she always leads me in the right direction on medical issues. Her staff is great as well.

There isn’t a more responsive and thoughtful physician out there. I greatly value her because she is so smart. She is able to take everything i describe, noodle it around, interpret what I’ve said, and come to an accurate assessment. It’s a combination of her analytical brain, extensive experience and her compassion that makes her extraordinary. I am grateful for her care.

Dr. Rubin is extraordinary. My husband and I have been her patients for nearly twenty years. She is always available by phone or email. She makes us feel as if we are her only patients, takes copious notes and we never feel rushed. She is highly respected by her her peers, she has been liaison to specialists we've needed and even written letters of introduction on our behalf. Both my husband and I have undergone serious illnesses and she regularly checks in to find out how we are. Among many other qualities she researches and keeps up to date with new developments in medicine. It would be difficult to find any other doctor as devoted to her patients as Dr. Rubin.

Dr. Rubin has taken care of me for several years. I have NEVER been disappointed. Highly recommend her !

Exceptional personal attention. I recently went through six months of treatment for breast cancer. While I was under the care of an Oncologist, Dr. Rubin called me approximately every other week just to visit and check in. It was so reassuring to have her talk with about side effects and my progress.

Dr Rubin is a very knowledgable, compassionate Doctor She is very responsive to my inquiries. I highly recommend her to anyone seeking a Primary Care Physician.

Absolute worst doctors experience with Dr. Rubin. I'd give 0 stars but yelp makes us give 1 minimum.So, I spoke to the office about my appointment for a women's checkup and asked if I can get shots for my upcoming int'l trip. They told me to ask to Dr. Rubin directly about the shots.When I arrived at my appointment, Dr. Ruth asked me about my race, in conversation, and made some inappropriate comments.Then after my exam, said to me "How are you suppose to help other people if you're not taking care of your own health?" in reference of me being a board member.She even said "I know I'm scolding you like a mom."Lady, I'm in my mid 30s.Extremely unprofessional. I was in such shock that a physician would talk to me that way.I wanted to finish as soon as possible - I asked her about shots for traveling so I could go on. She then starts yelling at me "it's very inconsiderate of you to ask me about shots when I have other patients waiting."I have never been so upset after a doctors visit- I cried when I got to my car. It was dreadful to be treated that way.I wish I had the awareness to speak up in the moment but I was in such utter shock as no physician has ever been so unprofessional and rude.Doesn't matter if she had a bad day before my appt- there is no justification to treat a patient, a human, in such a condescending and unprofessional way.She goes down as the worst doctor. Avoid this doctor at all costs!!
