TLDR - AVOID THIS PLACE! Reposting here since their website is deceptive and full of presumably fake reviews. Ridiculous billing practice where they charged me $390 for a less than 20min superficial first time patient visit where they did not conduct ANY tests, just visually looked at my skin. Asked me to pay $150 immediately upon check-in for the routine exam as a new patient and then billed my insurance an absurd amount after, and then mailed me a mystery bill for $48 (for what, only the devil knows) and refused to explain what the amount is for even after repeated conversations. To add insult to injury they never resolved my skin issue and also sent this random $48 bill to collectors when I didn’t pay because we were still going back and forth on what THIS IS FOR! I am going to spend all of my energy making it know that this practice is a bunch of scammers who should go to hell. Mainly a Botox facility. Totally unprofessional and while I was referred to this place by my primary care doctor, I’ve shared with them my abysmal experience to warn any future patients from walking into this trap. Scheduling with them was already a sign they are bad news - they initially scheduled me for the wrong location even though I filled out their request form, and after some back and forth they finally got it right. At my appointment, the PA Molly took at most 10min total with me during the appointment and didn't want to do a thorough examination until I asked specifically for her to take a look. She acted like she didn’t want to do her job and also had some new hire shadowing her. And now after additional doctors appointments I found out I had been misdiagnosed. I’ve always known our health care system is falling apart but this is absolutely unacceptable, a ridiculous joke of a place, and also a waste of $ and time. Not to mention they tried to push a bunch of their own concoctions and supposedly own medicine on me (super expensive and arbitrarily priced of course) instead of sending me prescription to trusted brands. I’d be more willing to get a generic brand. I took the time to write this review so that you can avoid the frustration and anger. AVOID THIS PLACE.

I loved my experience at this office! Special shout out to Ava, Nancy, and Clarence who made my experience wonderful and comfortable. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for Botox and filler treatments!

I went to Dr. Evans office today and Molly, PA, conducted a fully body review. She is delightful. Very knowledgeable and informative. She indicated what issues required follow-up and what were of little concern. She made me feel at ease and I truly enjoyed her approach and personality. It's rare when you can say that you will be looking forward to your next appointment with a doctor!

I have been a patient of Dr. Tracy Evans for years and highly recommend Dr. Evans for all dermatological needs. Dr. Evans provides excellent care and was highly recommended by my primary care physician at CPMC. Dr. Evans is extremely knowledgeable and problem solves efficiently and effectively in both her San Francisco and Corte Madera offices. I have been a patient in both offices and received expert care in both locations. I have recommended Dr. Evans to several colleagues and friends that were always extremely satisfied with her services and work. Most recently, I had the pleasure to be treated by Clarence, Physician's Assistant and Kiana Smith, Medical Assistant, and their kind and superb care was a truly positive experience. I appreciate and am grateful for their talent and skill.

I've been seeing Dr. Evans for several years. She and her staff are exceptional. I appreciate the time they spend with me, the answers to all my questions and the confidence I feel with every appointment.

If you want to waist your time and money and still have no results come here. Clearance and his assistant have no sort of bed side manners nor can they make eye contact. They took my money before procedure and then proceeded to tell me that the procedure will have no results and that the bursted blood vessel I wanted cleared is actually hyperpigmentation. They then proceeded to trying to preform the procedure. When I asked for a refund before they could continue, they almost look dumbfounded. They both just kept staring at each other when I asked for my money back, not speaking a word to me. They were very quick to clear the room without apologizing for wasting my time, for telling me miss information during my first visit, or for not refunding my money when I asked. There is place is a joke.

This was the worst medical experience I've ever had, from start to finish. I was new patient simply trying to establish an annual skin check. The PA forced me into overly invasive procedures I clearly stated I did not want (to make them additional $$), and which healed poorly. These people are unethical and do not know what they're doing. The whole experience uncomfortable and full of hidden fees. Beware!! I will not be going back. Specifically:-The Physician Assistant (who is not an MD), Molly, forced me into do 2 skin biopsies, which I repeatedly said I did not want/did not seem necessary since I was simply trying to establish an annual check and have no family history of skin problems. She asked if there were any spots I myself was worried about, and when I said no, she picked 2 COMPLETELY random moles to biopsy. One of them looked EXACTLY like the one next to it (shape, color, border, etc.) and when I asked how she chose that one, she mumbled some non-answer and handed me a brochure. She also randomly insulted the "chicken skin" on the back of my arms and asked if I would like "some help" with this (um, no thank you?). The biopsies were fairly painful and both spots healed very poorly (like cigarette burns). I had to go to a wedding with a very ugly spot visible on my shoulder that everyone kept asking about and it didn't fully heal for 4 months. It ended up costing $500! that was not covered by insurance in addition to the $200 you pay to walk in the door. Worst $700 I ever spent.-As I was waiting in the lobby, the admin person said she would collect my $200 now and casually said that "additional services like biopsies might be more." When the PA insisted on biopsying me, my spidey senses went up (I'm also a nurse). It's obvious they do biopsies to collect more money for themselves, even against the wishes and needs of the patients. Do not let these people do biopsies or other invasive procedures for no reason!!-The scheduling person messed up my appointment time: I booked an appt for 9am; got a text saying 8:30am. When I called to tell them I could not be there by 8:30am and wanted the time I was originally quoted, she tried to tell me I should have known I would need to be there 30 min early because I'm a new patient. Rude, and obviously trying to cover up her own mistake. My second appointment time also conflicted with the text--I simply called and canceled.RUN!!, don't walk away from this place! Find a derm that uses a microscope to look at your moles up close, and then make an informed decision if anything needs biopsying. My friend has been going to her derm for a long time and they take close looks at all her spots, but has never had a biopsy.

So friendly, on time and super knowledgeable. Plus I love how clean and tidy the office is every time I visit. They have also found a melanoma on several of my friends.

The doctors here are fantastic (which makes me sad to leave this post...) I have experienced two of them and both were really great. However, apart from the mere 15 minutes of being in the room with the doctor, everything else you need to do to interface with this office is hell. The administrative staff is a disaster. Which matters more than I would have imagined, since anytime I needed any assistance regarding prescriptions, any communications with my pharmacy, or any requests to provide information to my insurance company to get prescriptions covered, really working out anything at all.... is a NIGHTMARE. The worst I have ever experienced in a medical professional setting. If you want to spend hours and hours of your life on a regular basis trying to get their staff to help you so you can get what you need, and in the end still have nothing to show for it, this is the place for you. (I have never left a negative review for anywhere before... )

Dr. Evans has performed Mohs surgery on my face twice and I could not be happier with the results. For the past couple decades, I have spent almost every Summer in the South of France because I have family and friends there. Of course it is a sunny place with lots of gorgeous beaches and other outdoor activities. I guess I got a little too much sun exposure on these trips, especially since I have fair skin and blue eyes. When I first found out I had a basal cell spot on my face I was very upset, but Dr Evans and her staff are absolutely amazing!!! I had never had any surgery on my face and I was worried about it, but I truly felt I had the kind of empathy and care that you would get from a family member or a great friend, from Dr. Evans and everyone else on her team. Dr. Evans did such a great job on both surgeries and they have healed so well, so much so that no one even notices that I have had two surgeries on my face. I have been going to her office for years now with regular skin checks and I have to say I am extremely impressed with the entire staff. In addition to the Mohs surgery, and after I had basal cell a second time, I decided to get Fraxel Laser done at Dr. Evans office. A lot of people do this for cosmetic reasons, but I did it because I found out that Fraxel can help reduce the chance of getting basal cell in the future. As a guy, I did not see myself spending thousands of $'s on laser for my face the first time, but after I got the 2nd basal cell on my face I decided it was worth the money if it reduced the chance of more basal cell in the future. I was very pleased with the Fraxel procedures and I have not had another basal cell issue since I had it, so I am very happy with the decision. The Fraxel laser procedure also evened out the toning on my face, so that was great as well. I highly recommend the Fraxel Laser to anyone who wants to potentially reduce the chance of basal cell, and I also have been taking Nicotinamide (a special form of vitamin B) which can also potentially reduce future basal cell issues, and I use a DNA enzyme repair cream at night which reduces the chance of basal cell. As I said before, I have not had basal cell since I had the Fraxel and I think taking Nicotinamide and using the DNA enzyme repair cream all have helped. After all this I realize how important skin care is and I am grateful that I got such great care. Most of my friends never go to a dermatologist and have an ignorance is bliss attitude, but with Dr. Evans and her amazing team, I am much more aware of how important it is to get regular checks and what can be done to maintain my skin going forward. My skin looks great and people think I look much younger than my actual age. One final point: I also have a couple friends that have HMO insurance that also have had basal cell. They have had surgeries at their HMO and I can tell you the care and the results they received are not even close to the care and outstanding results I have had with Dr. Evans. In some cases, the HMO made my friends wait a long time before they could even get the Mohs surgery and they also made mistakes, and their results in terms of scarring and healing were not the best. There is no way I would trust an HMO to do this surgery. At this point, I would only trust Dr. Evans with something this important. Thanks to Dr. Evans, Clarence, Shantelle, Kirstie, Danielle, Leslie, and the entire team! You all have helped me in a difficult situation more than once and I got through it as if nothing ever happened because of your amazing care and skills!
