Doctor Farhadi was very professional and had wonderful energy at the same time. He gave me all the information I needed in a timely manner. My appointment was at 4:20, and he came in at 4:20. I appreciate doctors who keep time well and care for their patients at the same time. Would highly recommend Dr. Farhadi.

I was very anxious about this appointment. I enjoyed my visit because of the doctor’s bedside manner and com approach to my problem. He seemed very competent and extremely confident in his diagnosis.

Extremely Poor Experience - Would Not Recommend I had a very disappointing experience with Dr. Farhadi. From the beginning of the appointment, I explained that I've had chronic constipation for years--at times manageable with occasional laxatives, but recently worsening to the point where I now rely on them weekly, with decreasing effectiveness. Instead of offering a thoughtful or compassionate approach to explore possible root causes, Dr. Farhadi spent the majority of the visit explaining why my current efforts--such as hydration and dietary changes--would not help, without providing meaningful alternatives. It felt dismissive and unproductive. He performed a rectal exam without explaining what it would involve beforehand. As a healthcare provider myself, I understood what to expect, but it was concerning that he didn't walk me through the procedure. I can only imagine how distressing that would be for someone without medical knowledge, as it is a very personal and invasive assessment. After the exam, he abruptly left the room, offering no time for me to ask questions or discuss anything further. He ordered an abdominal X-ray, which he explained to me showed no major blockage but only showed stool buildup which he told me would explain my discomfort. I thought this was somewhat silly that I could have easily told him, as that was the entire reason I sought his help. His follow-up message recommended Miralax and attempting to use the restroom at scheduled times. When I reminded him that I came to his office because I'd already been relying on laxatives and wanted to find a root cause to avoid long-term dependence, he simply replied that most cases of constipation are idiopathic. This felt once again like more negligent care. While some cases may be idiopathic, reaching that conclusion after a single static image and no further testing (e.g., for motility issues, SIBO, microbiome imbalance, or inflammation) is not thorough care. Overall, Dr. Farhadi showed poor bedside manner, left no time for patient conversation, and took a superficial approach to a complex issue. I would not recommend him to anyone seeking thoughtful or investigative gastrointestinal care.

Update. They did respond to my Yelp review and told me to call them. The number they have is the operator and once you get a hold of them they try to put you through to the office. I was told that the office was in a meeting and I would get a call later. The office did send me a message in MyChart. It said that the practice manager would call me that afternoon. That was Monday June 9. Today is June 13 and I have not received a call. I guess this is standard operating procedure for the office. It really shows how much they care about their patients.

Good solid Dr Checks all the boxes Highly recommend

It’s hard to give the doctor any stars since I never met him. My general doctor finally convinced me to get a colonoscopy since I haven’t had one for more than 15 years. She gave me a list of gastroenterologist. I chose Dr. Farhadi since his reviews were good and he worked out of the hospital close by. I called to make an appointment. The person that I spoke to made the appointment for the colonoscopy. I asked to make an appointment to meet the doctor and she told me I would meet him the day of the colonoscopy. I thought that was strange to not meet the doctor prior to the day of the procedure. OK, whatever. In the weeks before the colonoscopy I received literally countless texts and emails. At first, they were general forms to fill out. Then as the day got closer, within 2 weeks, I got emails and texts to confirm my appointment. I don’t know how many times I confirmed only to get another text and email. Meanwhile, I never received a call from a real person. No one called to ask if I understand the directions for the prep, about my medical history or about what to expect during and after the procedure. I know that it was all written down and that I should call if I have questions but how do you ask questions on things I know nothing about? The prep is horrible but needed. I showed up to the hospital, filled out more forms and was taken back to the pre-op room right on time. The nurse introduced herself and got me hooked up after I changed. I asked her if I were going to meet the doctor and she told me in the surgery room. Really? He can’t even come in to the pre-op to introduce himself? I was wheeled in to the room. Got into a most embarrassing position on my side when the doctor finally came in. At least, I am assuming it was the doctor. He said good morning and went to the computer. He never once introduced himself or asked me how I was doing. When it was done, I was wheeled back into the pre-op room, put my clothes back on then wheeled out to my ride. No verbal post-op instructions and still NEVER met the doctor. What kind of bedside manner is that? I’m glad that the report said that everything was good and that I probably will not need another colonoscopy because I would never go back to him again. How can you call yourself a caring doctor if you never even meet your patient before you shove a camera up their anus? Do yourself a favor and fine a doctor who cares about you as a person rather than just a colonoscopy.

My visit was through and quick. The doctor was professional with an excellent 'bedside' manner. He took the time to fully access my situation and provide a clear plan of action. I was delightfully surprised with this doctor's visit.

Dr Ashland Farhadi and his staff were very helpful, very knowledgeable, and helped me understand everything I needed to take care of before my procedure. They were able to make sure I could make my appointment (virtual) when something changed at the last minute and I appreciate their ability and willingness to make sure I could move forward with all the information I need. This is maybe the most professional office I've ever been to, and one of the most qualified gastroenterologist you will find. Thank you to you and your team.

Dr. Farhadi is the absolute best. He figured out right away what was wrong with my stomach and gave me very informative material about my situation! Thank you!!
