Great G.I After 7 year long battle of trying to find out what my son had at CHLA I asked his pediatrician to send my son to Dr.Tran did a couple test and within the second visit he was finally diagnosed with gastroparesis and gastritis and was prescribed medication and even helped us make a plan to help him with flare ups . It’s been a tough battle to make him feel ok due to the gastroparesis flares but I can honestly say dr Tran helped us so much. So happy that we didnt give up and that Dr.Tran tests diagnose my boy.
Dr.Tran is an amazing doctor who answered all my questions and put my son on the right way to solve his GI problems, we saw great improvements in his case and we really appreciate him for great service
They have taken such great care of our little boy. Very thoughtful, helpful, and effective. Highly recommend this practice. Great office, physician, and staff
I wish I would have come here sooner! After coming to see Dr.Tran, we were able to get my child’s GI issues under control, alleviating so much discomfort and changing our lives! What a great experience this was too. The building the office in at first glance seemed a little outdated and honestly I started to have doubts but as soon as I stepped foot into the office, I instantly felt at ease. As a new mom, doctor visits are stressful and overwhelming, especially when there is something wrong. I feel like health care and patient care in general has gone downhill. This was such a refreshing experience!! The girls at the front desk, Alyssa and Rose helped us get checked in and had such a welcoming and comforting attitude. They helped us prior to the doctor coming in and made sure we were comfortable. Any questions I had were welcomed and I felt like they really listen and wanted to help any way they could before we were seen. We were SO happy with our visit with Dr Tran. He quickly understood our situation and was confident in our plan of action. Like I said, I wish I would’ve come here sooner and maybe some of our issues have been resolved quicker. if you were considering seeing a G.I. I definitely recommend coming to this office sooner rather than later! Thank you to Rebecca the office manager who also made our experience so wonderful!
Excellent GI doctor who listens. Dr Robert Tran has been a great GI doctor for my daughter. He takes the time to listen to her problems and does the right tests to get a diagnosis. So far since starting treatment my daughter has thrived.
My son saw Dr. Tran as a second opinion after seeing another gastroenterologist in Orange County. Dr. Tran was very thorough and explained everything in detail but also in a way that both my son and I could understand. Glad to say that my son is doing much better now.
Very thorough and professional. He is prompt and takes the time to listen. I am happy to have him as my child's GI specialist. My daughter loves him too!
My son has been a patient of Dr. Tran for several years for Crohn's disease. His flares have been complicated at times and Dr. Tran has been always responsive. He is thoughtful and takes the time to explain my son's treatment options.
my son went to Dr. Tran for several years complaining of stomach pain. Dr. Tran had my son do a hydrogen breath test to see if it was bacteria in his stomach. The results showed negative. After years of trying to get help from Dr. Tran (who concluded my sons problem was anxiety), we went to another GI doctor. That GI doctor looked at the breath test Dr. Tran gave us and said that although the usual way of diagnosing bacteria overgrowth problems was for the test to show an increase from the baseline, that my sons baseline was so high that it might not have increased because his baseline was so high. Dr. Tran totaly missed that ON HIS OWN TEST. After my son being in pain for 12 years (since he was born), Our new GI doctor prescribed him antibiotics made for his GI tract and within 4 days my son was fine. I think Dr. Tran might be good for regular, obvious, GI problems, but don't expect him to dig in. If he had looked at the data of our test and not just the results, my son would have been out of pain much sooner.
Dr. Tran might be a good fit for someone who has regular GI issues. We went to Dr. Tran for my son because he has had stomach issues on/off for several years. Dr. Tran had him take a "breath test" where he breathes into a machine to test for bacteria in his stomach. Dr. Tran said my son didn't have a bacteria issue. Eventually we went to another GI doctor. When they looked at the results of Dr. Tran's test, it showed "normal" but when our new doctor looked at the data, apparently my son's "bacteria level" was so high at the beginning of the test, that it didn't really matter that his levels didn't rise as the test was administered. If Dr. Tran had looked at the DATA of the test, and not just the bottom line, my son would have been given meds earlier and been out of pain a LONG time ago. The new GI doctor gave my son Rifaximin and within a few days he was better.

All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
