I had a very good experience with Dr. Steven Lee and his staff. I would recommend my family and friends to see him for their spinal care. I felt at ease and had my questions answered with benevolent concern. I could see how articulate he is at performing the best outcome for my situation. I had two cervical disks removed and a spinal fusion. I also feel that it is very important to have a good back up team working with you. I felt that all the nurses, patient assistants, physical therapy and surgical team were fantastic. I truly am picky about whom I choose and feel that I chose well! I am a Chiropractor in Walnut Creek that treats disc injuries, and I suffered one so big that it was beyond the scope of conservative care. After seeing the MRI and realizing I was a surgical case, I asked the medical doctors that I worked with for a referral and was recommended Dr. Steven Lee. This was my second microdiscectomy, with the first in 1997 at the disc below L5-S1. I have been impressed with the level of service throughout the entire process. I was out of the surgery center faster, 5 hours versus 3 days, I have returned to my office faster and overall have had a much better outcome. Dr. Lee has been attentive and efficient at my pre and post op visits. I will have no hesitation referring my surgical cases to Dr. Lee. Dr. Lee is very knowledgeable and will give you the facts related to your condition in a straightforward and easy to understand way. He's not the most outgoing/friendly of the doctors I've met at Muir, but I liked his style.

Dr Lee responded with detailed instructions for the urgent care providers and had me on his schedule quickly for emergency hand surgery. His explanation of the procedure was detailed; his follow up prompt and his surgical work was the true meeting of art and science. Because of Dr Lee’s prompt action, surgical excellence and post-op guidance, along with phenomenal care from PAs Scott and Lily, I’m well on my way to full recovery.

This was the first of seven prior surgeries that the recovery was completely painless, considering that three carpal bones were removed; never had a need to take painkillers or even aspirin. My wrist feels good although I still need t wear a cast for 5 weeks.Dr. Lee, your hands and know-how are truly blessed...you really are the best! Thank you for everything!
