List of Trung Nguyen Md's Reviews
This guy is too greedy to charge insurance and patient even you meet deductible. Don't ever trust whatever he say. He just want your money/insurance and force you to see him every 3 months to get refill. Receptionist is so rude and unprofessional to ask patients to wait at least 1-2 hours even you have an appointment and collect cask co-pay to put into her pocket w/ no matter you meet deductible or not and double charge patient and insurance. Doctor visit only take 5 minutes just for refill the medicine, this place is only for old people w/ non-speaking English.
I am not sure why I am unable to give Dr. Trung a five-star rating on this site today but I have been very pleased with his professionalism and service for the past 17 years. He and Candace work very hard and sometimes need better trained office help, but overall I am very satisfied with them.
He is wonderful and truly makes himself available at any time you need him to be! I've never felt more cared about by a doctor in my entire life! I truly owe my life to this man.
Appointment at 1100 and at 1206 patient is still sitting in waiting room. These greedy doctors will never change. They squeeze all the patients in their schedule and make them wait as long as they can. Too bad these seniors don't speak English very well they prefer to go to him so they could be "educated" and understand their disease process. However, I doubt the doctor has the time to explain anything to his patients. Someone please gives me hope that these doctors will do what they swear by in the Hippocratic Oath.
Dr Trung has been my primary care physician and I am very happier. it easy from reception to Examine. He listened patient. Thank you
My mom is the patient here. She personally doesn't like Dr. Trung because he was insensitive, and the waiting was extremely long for her even with appointment. This time I came with my mom to Dr. Trung office to observe the doctor myself, and my mom was right. When my mom mentioned that she was recently admitted to the hospital, the doctor said nothing, not even a question of what brought you to the hospital or how are you feeling today. He was not caring at all, how is he going to treat and helppreventing diseases if he doesn't even talk to his patient. My mom then asked him if he can prescribe her something for her cold. He wrote three prescriptions, said nothing and sent her out. WOW. He didn't even mention what each med is for. Good thing I am a pharmacist, and I know what those meds are indicated for and their side effects. One of the drugs can cause dizziness, but he did not counsel patient on that nor even giving direction of when to take! Especially for a patient with kidney transplant, chronic kidney disease, like my mom, he should have been more careful. What if she drives while she's on the med that causes dizziness and somnolence and should have been taking at night time?! My mom took 7-day course of the antibiotic he prescribed but did not get better. Later, we had to take her to the ER, she ended up staying there for 4 days. Careless and reckless doctor. I'm glad that I told my mom's home health nurse about her family doctor how careless he is and that I'm looking for a new primary care doctor, because the home health nurse coordinator is now helping me finding a new PCP.I DO NOT recommend anyone to go here or take their family member(s) here.
-The doctor office open at 9Am but the doctor is nowhere to be found for HOURS. -Appointment is not matter much here, long waiting time -Most of the time, the 2 ladies at the front just openly chatting with each other, unprofessional-2 stars because the doctor is decent and care about his patients (from my experience)I hope he will just fired the receptionists and hire people who know how to act and work professionallyAnd respect others people time
This place bank on the fact that they are cater to mostly Vietnamese. Mainly the elderly, non-English speaker and new to the US that are naive. The wait is extremely long each time I took my mom here. When you do see the doctor, he is anything but helpful. She basically come here to get her prescription and even that he screwed up. We noticed that this time he prescribed her a medicine with 20mg dosage, and even our pharmacist is concerned. We call the office and talked to his receptionist and they kept saying that is the same dosage she has been taking all along. Obviously not true because we have the the recent bottle and other bottle indicating it is 10mg. They say they will need proof and that we need to bring the bottle in. Went in with the bottle, waited 20minutes just to have a chat, and had to speak up in order to get expedited. Met with the doctor and he say he stopped one of her medicine because she didn't like it, so he had to increase this dosage. This is not true, because that medicine caused her to have allergic reaction and my sister has been telling him that for years to stop prescribing that to my mom. Obviously, they are not documenting what we're telling them and going off old documents. I tried explaining the last time a new medicine or dosage increase, she almost ended up in ER. 5 minutes into the conversation with him, to blow me off, he prescribed the 10mg. Didn't really resolve anything. Total medical malpractice and banking on the fact that the elderly or non-english speakers are naive and will not speak hp for themselves. I would steer clear of this "doctor".
Our family has been patients of Dr. Nguyen’s since 2004. Our primary care physician originally referred us to Dr. Nguyen and under his care with proper follow up we know that the health of our eyes is always in the very best hands. Over the years I have learned of others that also have Dr Nguyen has their eye doctor and are very happy and confident in seeing him and the care that they too are given. He takes the time to explain to us what tests he wants to do and why and to review the test results with us. If we have any questions or concerns during an appointment with him he never rushes us to end the appointment, He listens and takes time with us. Yes – we do understand that occasionally we might have to wait a little bit beyond our appointment time to see him – but we know that he will always take time with us when our turn comes if extra time is needed. My husband recently had cataract surgery in both eyes – one a month apart from the other. Dr. Nguyen and his staff took the time to fully explain the procedure and the medications that needed to be used and any follow up appointments. As my husband was waiting in the surgery area for his eyes to dilate for the procedure and also after the surgery was completed Dr. Nguyen came out to let us know how he was doing. We all feel very confident and comfortable having him for our eye doctor and often recommend him to others.
Wonderful Clinic across from Nashboro Village on M'Boro Rd. Beyond caring and very capable of treating most all ailments that would oftentimes have required a specialist. Rx meds as needed and highly personalized care. I had been to many dr/chiro for my SI Joint pain prior and no one has ever helped me as much as Dr. Nguyen. He took time to educate me, treat and follow up on my progress. I highly recommend to all as your 1st stop medical care clinic. Most likely you will stay with him for life.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
