Dr. Shaanova is very good doctor. She tries her best to solve patient problem, always to the point. She is doctor with capital D.

Unfortunately had all the same experience other people mentioned here: got orders to do lab tests which wasn't covered by insurance even if we asked to check multiple times, no bedside manners, insensitive. Terrible experience. Wish I would read yelp instead of sutterhealth reviews.

Not good. No bedside manners. Probably the most unpleasantness doctor I've ever encountered - abrupt, dry, impersonal, insensitive, lacks empathy, doesn't really listen to you / your concerns, rushes you, tries to sign you up for all kinds of unnecessary tests and vaccinations. Your personal health business will be handled with zero integrity and a complete lack of empathy. She'll relay your sensitive confidential info to her assistants and will have them leave you voice mails delivering bad news in a cold and indifferent fashion rather than approaching it in a bit more sensitive way, like taking a few minutes of her time to email you a note. In addition, I felt like Shaanova isn't primarily a doctor, but a salesperson pitching you to get this test and that test, and unless you agree to the additional testing, she won't advise further.... In sum, this wasn't a good experience. Somehow she left me feeling very uncomfortable and yearning to be never seen by her again. So if you're looking for a doctor who cares and is able to connect with patients, you're better off elsewhere.

PAMF management and all its doctors are a big scam. They just want to milk money and not treat patients. My wife made an appointment for annual physical checkup(which includes bloodwork) that is covered 100% by my insurance. So before making the visit, she messaged doctor. The doctor asked my wife to do bloodwork first and then visit her so that she can discuss the results. My wife goes for bloodwork(which is covered as part of physical), but she had to cancel the office visit to doctor as she had something urgent that came up. So my wife never saw the doctor. We receive a fat bill of $250 in mail. When I contacted my insurance, they said its because of some labs which PAMF did and were not covered by insurance. PAMF billing said the same and said I have to talk to doctor and ask her why she ordered the extra tests for my wife. When I tried to reach the doctor's office, nobody takes the call and when they call back, they don't want to talk to me but my wife as she is the patient. When my wife called them, they don't take the call. Now, the collection guys are harassing me by calling every week and if this doesn't get resolved they will hit my credit hi. I don't understand what was my fault. Choosing PAMF? Choosing Dr Yelena? I have had physical checks with bloodwork so many times before. I never had to pay a penny for it but why did this doctor write extra labs(without meeting my wife in person) is still a mystery to me. Does PAMF want to make more money by asking their doctors to order extra tests? I am really looking for answer to these questions. Tbilisi Medical Institute would like their degree back.If you have experience with specialists and other medical professionals then please avoid this doctor. I could probably offer you an exam and diagnosis of basic symptoms if it wasn't illegal.Trust me, avoid the frustration.

Dr. Shaanowa is amazing! Trully cannot see myself going to another phisitian ever again. She is taking her time in order to address your health needs. She is so kind, warm and personal. She focuses on holistic approach to your health and will encourage you to exercise :) i love my doctor!

Dr. Shaanova is a very friendly and personable doctor. She's responsive and takes her time listening to your concerns and answering questions. Highly recommended.

My wife and I have been seeing Dr. Shaanova for more than 5 years now. She is very easy to talk to and very reachable through phone, emails and appointments when you need it. That is the most important thing for us. She is a very trusted medical advisor for us and works hard to explain us everything. We highly recommend Dr. Shaanova.

Went for a basic physical -- was hoping for a little more dialog and a better bedside manner. Maybe she was having a bad day...she came off as very nonchalant and a little put out.
