Been having a horrible experience there. Especially with one of the nurses who takes calls. She is the most condenscending professional. I cannot walk. Im in misery from debilitating back pain. Ive done all they asked and have legit back issues. Will not help with the pain. Im 64 yrs old. I need to work but Im crying from pain. The nurse doesnt give the Dr. The right messages. And she mocked me when I went in there. Also wasnt allowed to talk or see the doctor. Wouldnt let me make an appt. Told me thats too bad and let urgent care handle ur problem im paying 700 a month. Urgent care? Why am I paying you then if I cant get help? Ive never needed help from the doctor. Ive toughed it out. But this is cruel what they are doing to elderly patients. This woman has treated all my family with an attitude and distain. I cant imagine a doctor if he knew would allow it. So all I can think of is shes taking matters into her own hands and not relaying my calls or messages. DisgustedUPDATE they kept making me take off work to come in for an office visit and give medications that they could have prescribed over the phone. Ive been in there 5 times in 10 days. Prescribed Gabapentin 100mg once a day. Im 280lbs 62 . This is a sick joke. 5th time I called about this not working and begged for help at least until I can get into pain management and AGAIN want me to come in. Everytime I talk to them they say sounds like you need a strong pain killer but for that you need to come in . I come in and he gives 200mg Gabapentin. They lie to get you in to pay the copays im noticing. I have never been on pain medication. No history of abuse I dont drink I dont do drugs. I am a hard working citizen who pays my bills. And this man couldnt even help with my pain for the weekend. Finally my wife and daughter call and come in with me. They ask them what is going on and why are they treating me this way. Ive never seen this before in a doctor. The nurse then tells us He finds it odd that out of the blue im in excruciating pain ..basically accuses me of faking it...I have documentation of severe arthritis and slipped disks along with sciatica. .it is NOT TRUE it just started. He can even see my chart IVE BEEN GOING IN THERE FOR 2 YRS NOW WITH THIS PAIN. I DID ALL THEY ASKED AND NEVER COMPLAINED. I TOOK ALL THEY WANTED ME TO FOR 2 YRS MY FAMILY ALL HAVE CAME IN WITH ME BECAUSE THEY THOUGHT I WASNT TELLING THEM THE TRUTH ON HOW MUCH PAIN I AM IN AND THATS WHY HE WASNT TREATING MY EXCRUCIATING PAIN. Because he hes put me in physical therapy I am now in the worst condition and Im at my limit. And the most he gave was tramadol 20 count one a day 50 MG tramadol. Thats the only pain med hes tried. The rest has been weird meds that dont have anything to do with treating back pain. My 10lb dog is on 100mg tramadol 3 times a day ...I am 280lbs and 62 ...my wife is on 1500 MG a day gabbapentine for RESTLESS LEG SYNDROME ...and shes 115 lbs. He gives me 100mg a day ...its absolute inanity ...I have grandkids I want to enjoy. And everyday my daughter is taking care of me. Puts my socks on for me helps me dress and I have a tool I use to help put my shoes on. Every night she stays up to help me get up to walk to bed. Tucks me in ...its just not fair what could be my last years r spent like this all bec this doctor will not help me .

OMGOODNESS This office staff is for the birds. Im all about being patient pun intended w COVID19 and all but this is ridiculous. You call in to set an appointment and give your information over the phone and yet the person you speak to may or may not take your correct information. So they call you back 2 or 3 times with them same questions trying to get the correct information all of which you provided in your original phone callIts really a shame because the DR. himself is really quite nice and easy to work with. BUT hes just not worth the trouble of his office staff. There are other doctors to choose from.

Ive had several doctors over the years Dr. Shiu is by far the best. He listens to all concerns and addresses them accordingly. He has helped me more in less than a year than any doctor throughout my life.

The doctor is great. However the staff is not. My insurance benefit have annual physical exam as free. We even verified this on the front desk when we checked in. If you have the same free annual physical benefit from your insurance I advise you DO NOT talk to the doctor about your condition otherwise it will not be considered physical anymore and you will be billed accordingly. Youre suppose to just sit and not say anything. RUN. AWAY.

I have had Dr Shiu for close to 13 years and when I was referred to him by another Dr because my insurance had changed I was so scared and unsure. Needless to say I truly love him as my Dr. he has seen me through 5 major surgeries and countless health issues that has affected my life. When I felt like my life was pretty much over and there was not a great way through what I was facing he talked and walked me through the rough patches. I have never had a Dr that personally cares for his Patients on such a high level. When you call after hours he returns your call. I could go on and on but if you are looking for a Dr I can tell you that he is AMAZING. And I feel Blessed to have him over the care of my life. Thank You Dr Shui. Pennie Weaver

Saw Dr. Shiu today 53019 and I couldnt be more impressed with his professionalism. So caring and listens to your concern. Hands down I love this doctor.

Awesome Doctor great bedside manners

Dr Shiu is what every Doctor should strive to be. He doesn’t play the ” Let’s wait and see game”. Doctor Shiu will run the test to know what’s wrong with you or to rule out what could be wrong with you. I’ve seen Doctor Shiu for many years now and I’m always reassured that I have the right Doctor. He’s very knowledgeable and cares for his patients. You may have a little wait time to see him but that’s only because he never rushes anyone out. He’s a throw back to the doctors I had as a kid. My mom would always ask a million questions and get everyone of them answered when I was growing up. Dr. Shiu is the same way. So much so that my parents and brothers all go to Dr. Shiu.

Dr. Shiu takes the time to listen and makes a plan that works with your medical and physical issues. Even with an appointmentYou do wait a while to see him but it’s worth the wait . I’m very happy with Dr. Mark Shiu and staff. First time in years I finally found a Dr. that cares .
