Dr. Emmanuel and the office staff are wonderful! My dad had three surgeries with Dr. Emmanuel, one for Spinal Stenosis and two Knee Replacement surgeries. The office has always been very helpful and attentive to anything that comes up. The surgeries have all been a huge success. The healing for the spinal stenosis was much longer than expected, I have been helping my dad the whole time so I noticed just how long it took! The outcome has been very good despite the long healing time. The problems he was having have not progressed and that was the most important thing. Once he was healed enough, Dr. Emmanuel preformed the first knee replacement, a 4.5 hour surgery! My dad had a very good outcome from this surgery, he healed quicker than expected and along the way everyone was very impressed with how far he came in such a short time. Dr. Emmanuel did a great job with my dad's complicated knee replacement! Once he was able the second knee replacement was performed. The healing was also faster than expected and he was praised along the way with how far he had come in such little time. He is now walking without a cane, he is no longer bowlegged and the knee pain that plagued him is now almost completely gone. My dad and I are very happy with our experience with Dr. Emmanuel and the office and staff. It has also been helpful that the office offers Covid tests which made it very easy anytime a Covid test was needed, and always a pleasure to see the office staff and Dr. Emmanuel checks on my dad progress if he is the office. I would highly recommend Dr. Emmanuel to anyone in need of these types of surgeries.

I went to see Dr. Emmanuel because I had problem in walking or standing for more than 5 minutes due to L4/L5 (Spine) nerve pinching. The surgery was set for May 7.The surgery it self was less than 3 hours. I have two small incisions one on the left side of the back about less than 1/2 inch, another one about less than 1 inch. I did not feel any pain at all after the surgery in hospital or after coming home. Now I don’t have any pain while standing or walking. I walk 2 miles every morning and planning to increase the distance to 3-4 miles. Dr. Emmanuel is knowledgeable and caring, who takes time to listen and explain in detail. I fully trust his judgement.I have no hesitation in recommending Dr. Emmanuel to anyone.

He left my mother permanently disabled for which she now deals with pain every day. Not recommended at all.

Okay Dr. Emmanuel performed spinal lumbar fusion on my mother five years ago and told us that it would be 6 to 12 months of PT before she would be walking again....it’s been five years and my mom is confined to a walker after everything!! Prescribing gabapentin five different times in five different dosages has done nothing to improve her condition! The worst part is having to wait in his office a minimum of two hours every single time not to mention that he has no handicap parking!...it is not a handicap friendly place when you walk in through the front door off Washington Boulevard the door is so heavy it almost broke my foot trying to come in! Don’t even get me started on his office staff these girls have zero training I think that in order to get a job here you need to know your ABC’s! Very Sad! Moral to this story is please get a 2nd and 3rd opinion before committing to any type of back, knee or shoulder surgery the quality of your life depends on it!!!!!

Dr. Richard Emmanuel is the best Surgeon in the world. He has perform surgery's on Family members who are doing great. Now he's taking care of my husband Ryan, we are definitely happy with his services. His office in Culver City is awesome all the staff is professional nice and friendly. You can easily book an appointment and services are great. If you are having back pain knee pain and more schedule your appointment to see Dr Emmanuel. I visited him for a second opinion, after my first surgeon had recommended surgery for my L4/L5 herniation. Dr. Emmanuel analyzed my situation and injury with the utmost precision and attention to detail. He took his time with his analysis and came up with a hand crafted approach for my issue. The person responding emails lost me as a client. I was trying to get some information to possibly scheduling an appointment with this doctor. They stopped answering when I told them I was browsing doctors to see what my best choice would be. They made my job easier because they didn't seem interested on my business, but I think it's rude. Doctors should have good front desk/customer service, even more needed if you are not covered by main PPO insurance companies.
