List of Dennis Park's Reviews
I was assigned to Dr. Park after my other Dr. retired. On my first visit he came in the office late while I was waiting with 3 other patients. He was not well informed of my condition. Subsequently after additional visits the decision was to proceed with orthoscopic procedure. He never reviewed pre-op procedure. All he did was mark my knee. He never came in to speak to me after the procedure. Post-op appointment. I was experiencing an issue that he was suppose to take care of. His recommendation was to see a specialist at UCSF or Stanford out of my health plan. Also, on my last visit, I came early for my appointment. As my appointment time approached another patient arrived (late). I was not pleased that this patient was seen before me. Didn’t appreciate that at all. I now have to have to seek (referral) another Orthopedic Dr.!!! NO…!!! I would not recommend this Dr. to anyone…!!!
I went to the office thinking I had an appointment. There was nothing on the books. I immediately felt upset, because I was scared about my shoulder. The front office person was so nice and still got me in that day, almost immediately. I literally cried tears of joy! Dr. Park is great. His disposition is great because he was sympathetic and gave me a good amount of PT to make my shoulder stronger. He is someone I would go back to again and again. I might need surgery later on, and I would go with him. Thank you!
After reviewing X-RAY & MRI, I appreciate the treatment options given by Dr. Park & not just rushing into surgery. He was thorough & took the time to answer all my questions. Staff was pleasant & efficient.
He was so rude, accused my daughter of being selfish and potential for carry Covid virus by coming to see him with her knee issues. Very disappointing to hear that from a medical professional. His office scheduled the appointment for us and if he is so worry he should not schedule any appointment nor see any patients. Definitely a lack of communication between him and the staff there. He should blame himself not the patient. I was the one recommended my daughter to go see him. What a huge mistake.
Dr. Park is one of the best doctor's without a doubt, I've been coming to him for years for my ankles and knee problems he's always taken care of not only me but also my son who plays sports. I've been to other doctors but always return to Dr Park for his opinion and he's always made sure I get the best care possible. Highly recommend
I had the best experience with Dr. Park. Very knowledgeable, surgery went well. Thank you
I do not normally write reviews, but I am so grateful to Dr. Park! I had a bad bicycle crash and broke my clavicle. It was displaced and affected my shoulder and scapula. I was in pain and fearful that I would be unable to do my favorite sports of windsurfing, skiing and golf. Dr. Park performed surgery to put in place a metal plate to hold the bone and within 3 days I was out of pain. I followed his instructions carefully and within a month I could tell it was healing perfectly. It has been 3 months and I went skiing last week for 5 days and I could not believe how wonderful it was to be normal again. Dr. Park is not only a skilled surgeon, but compassionate and a good listener to be sure everything is going okay. He is my hero.
Oh Boy.. Where do I start? Bear with me. I had a PCL tear after falling on a metal box snowboarding. Three weeks after the injury I went to see Dr Park. He briefly examined my knee and told me there were nothing serious and was about to send me home. I emphasized that I had pain squatting and it didn't get better over time, so he did additional test and told me I had a PCL tear and needs MRI to know if I need surgery. He let me go home WITHOUT A BRACE. A week later I had another appointment with Dr Park. He told me it was a complete tear. He showed me a picture of the MRI and told me the PCL peeled off from the tibia. I examined my MRI hundreds of times I knew what every picture looks like. What he showed me wasn't my MRI!!! He said for young athletic people, they choose to do the surgery, which refers to me. Surgery is the first option he gave me, and told me PCL doesn't heal on its own. After I told him I wanted to try non-operative treatment, he gave me a simple hinged brace for ACL MCL PCL. It's not even specifically designed for my injury! He gave me a physical therapy form and the only instruction on it is "Left PCL". Another observation is that he rushed during both appointments and didn't seem to care to know all the details or make sure the patient understands everything. I started to doubt if his diagnose and treatment were correct, since I've done a lot of research online myself on PCL injury, and the conclusion I drew was very different from what he told me, so I decided to see a doctor at UCSF sports medicine to get a second opinion. After a half week, the doctor at UCSF told me I had a tear in the middle of the PCL(clearly shown in the MRI). Dr Park told me it was peeled off the tibia. The UCSF doctor told me isolated PCL tear rarely needs a surgery and he gave me a PCL jack brace so I can keep my knee straight 24/7 for three weeks before seeing him again. His resident was very thorough examining my knee and explaining the MRI page by page. The doctor at UCSF gave me two pages with very detailed instruction for physical therapy. What a difference! I felt like Dr Park didn't take my injury seriously. If I continue to use the wrong brace he gave me, I'll likely need a surgery since I won't heal properly. In my personal opinion, Dr Park is inexperienced and unprofessional in dealing with my injury. I wouldn't recommend other people to go to see him.
Dennis Park is an amazing Doctor! Being in the medical field, I see many doctors whom strayed away from using clinical judgement and a thorough physical exam to evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients. When seen by him, by my symptoms and physical exam. He gave me his medical opinion on what was wrong. His exact words, "I'm only getting an MRI because insurance wouldn't approve your surgery otherwise."MRI reading practically verbatim of his physical exam. Four days
was impressed wth every interaction. From the reception when i first arrived and the friendly nature of the staff. I love that they have an xray available nearby as well. Dr. Park is very personable and thorough. Im glad I was able to see him in such short notice as well.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
