Very nice and caring doctor! He makes you laugh and gets to the point. Highly recommended!
Dr. Borrillo is unique. I cannot believe the access and response he provides. If I have a question I can usually get an answer within the hour if not sooner. A Doc who delivers real value to patients. He is also always pleasant, friendly and asking if I have questions. I have now had two Friday later afternoon visits with my optometrist that required quick attention from a surgeon. Both times he met me on Saturday morning. The last time he came in just for me so I would not have to wait and worry about what the image of my eye was showing. Luckily he was able to repair on site before things got worse. Thank you Doc. He is awesome
I was uninsured. And I had damaged my eye. I did not know what was wrong with it. Dr. Borrillo saved my vision. And he hardly charged me. This man goes beyond being a doctor. To me he is a Saint!
Was referred to Dr. Borrillo by our ophthalmologist, but his office somehow made appointment with a different doctor. Okay we just accepted that he was not available since it was basically spur of the moment due to urgency in our case. Front desk staff was ok. But we waited for an hour before being called since it was just for a scan. Seriously why is it that one makes an appointment then is forced to sit in the waiting room for an hour regardless of why they're there? We had to attend to another appointment right after this one, and this long wait was concerning us since it could have conflicted with the second appointment. Who would assume they'd need to wait at least a whole hour for a test we were told would take two minutes? The worst was the rude, disrespectful woman assistant who just yelled out our last name. Everyone else she addressed by their first name, exchanged some pleasantries then she waited for them and escorted them to the assigned room. With us after shouting out our last name she disappeared into the room with us wondering were we imagining being called? Totally rude and very stupid behavior/attitude. In fact, she shouted out our last name twice (because we really weren't even needed to go to the first room as she did nothing for us/with us & so had to go back & wait once again in the waiting room to be called to see the doctor for the scan).Doctor actually did the scan in less than two minutes. This was after he asked us why we were there(?!). Afterwards, we tried asking a few basic questions of him as we are total novices as to what cataracts entail. Also as ours is a precarious type of cataract we are dealing with so to say the least we are very petrified. Sure. He complied with two of our questions all the while it was obvious he was hurrying us out the door. Asked a third question that was a bit more detailed and we were stopped. We were given the reason that it was because we were there for a scan only not consultation (Translation: I'm not being paid for a consultation). Wow. Some type of care received here...I do not recommend. But maybe the main doctor (Borrillo) is much better, but that assistant ought to be sacked; anyone else would have been.
I had an obstructed view in my left eye, my doctor immediately made an appointment for me to see Dr. Borillo, an emergency. It was after 5 p.m. when I arrived at his office, as soon as I arrived Dr. Borillo took me into an examination room. He found I had a detached retina in my left eye and 2 tears in my right eye. He immediately performed laser surgery on both eyes. I was very comfortable and fortunately I regained my full vision in my left eye. The vision in my right eye had been fine, but the tears had to be mended. I continued visits on a regular basis until he declared my eyes were in good shape. I am very thankful Dr. B. saw me after office hours, his staff is friendly and helpful. Take good care of your eyes.
I came in to get my retina checked out. I was very impressed with my visit with the ladies in the front. Shout out to Sarah she was very helpful and sweet. She cleared up alot of questions i had which i appreciate alot! Dr Borrillo was nice and funny. I recommend people come here for future visits!
OMG!!! This eye doctor is horrible!!! My mom was referred to him by her specialist for surgery. First of all, this is office in general is unprofessional. They don't really explain anything on what is going on. Finally, when the doc comes in my mom asked him why did this illness in her eye developed and the only crap he said was bad luck and laughed. He kept saying this even after seeing my mom crying. This doctor wanted to perform surgery on my mom right away and just gave us a surgery date with no explanation of the surgery. Luckily, we decided to get a second opinion and lucky we did. Turns out my mom's illness wasn't that advance in her eye and didn't need surgery right away. Doctor Borrillo scared my mom and got her depressed. He just wanted money from insurance to perform surgery. Stay away....

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
