List of Karl Lee's Reviews
Karl Lee is a great doctor. He really cares about his patients and takes his time with you. His receptionists are also phenomenal and SO nice. Sometimes I feel that I am bothering them however they really help you with what you need and are very kind.
Ive been a patient for a long time. I agree the place is messy, but I like his care. Hes been spot on in diagnosis and Ive referred him to others.
Dr. Lee is caring and takes his time with each visit. I never feel rushed and I’m given the opportunity to ask lots of questions. He’s a kind, trusted, wonderful doctor!
Id give zero stars if i could. Im shocked at the mess and clutter in the waiting room and receptionist area. Its like they have never tossed out a magazine since they opened. To start the wait time is a joke, book a 4pm appointment and it tooke almost 2 hours to see him and i was early. Then when you finally see him its almost as if your talking to a wall. He just nods his head as you explain what is going on. Then just throws a bunch of useless medicine ideas at you and expects you to know what they all do, i mean shit hes the doctor he should be explaining. Anyways moving on the exam room was filthy, dirty floors, dirty walls. Almost feels like a slum and he shouldnt be practicing in an enviroment like this. Id recommend seeing a different doctor unless you like waiting long hours past your scheduled appoinment time to see a shitty doctor at best. I wish there was someone i could call or report this man to. I wanted to bath in sanitizer when i left. Not the feeling you should have after leaving a doctors office.
so far, ive only (thankfully) been in for routine physicals and nothing serious medically, so i can only speak on my own experience. my experience has been fine; no complaints with how he handled my checkup, and he answered all of my questions with ease. however, the absolute worse part was the wait; it must have been about an hour, while my physical itself took about 15 minutes. plus, the office itself needs to be cleaned and reorganized. as a patient, the other reviews are concerning, especially when it comes to ones health potentially being at risk.
I was unfortunate enough to find Dr. Lee through my insurance company. Close to my area and, at that time, a four star review how bad could it be? Ive been in the area for a bit I have to choose a doctor eventually. Some of the complaints referenced a slow staff, Ive dealt with doctors with slowtorespond medical staff before I can deal.Ive moved around a lot over the course of my life, and have had 5 doctors over the years. Some great, some OK. Dr. Lee was by far the worst experience I had with a Primary Care Physician.Booking a physical was a breeze and the receptionist on the phone was nice.I arrived in the late afternoon took off work early to see him. I was the only person waiting in the office, and it took him over 1 hour and 15 minutes to finally see me. The office was dirty dirty walls, a big scratched up Styrofoam sheet blocking a mystery door, paperwork and junk piled up, and a bathroom in need of a cleaning. It wasnt as bad as a McDonalds downtown at 3AM, but a medical facility shouldnt be as dirty as this. When I was finally let out of the waiting room, I was weighed and measured apparently I had shrunk by over 2.5 inches... Ive been the same height for about 10 years now (as reported by multiple doctors). Not a great start.Dr. Lee was obtuse and incompetent. I think this one interaction about sums things up:On my form I had reported that I have colorblindness. He expressed interest and confusion he explained he had never met anyone with colorblindness before. It affects 8.4 percent of males, and hes a doctor so yes, he has met people with colorblindness in fact, as a primary care physician he should have diagnosed it in a number of his patients. He then proceeded to ask me what it was like to have colorblindness: Do I see in black in white? How do I know how to drive in traffic? Oh, I guess you just see other cars move so you know that you can go. I had to explain to a Doctor how colorblindness works something that affects nearly 1 in 10 men. This obtuseness would continue through each topic throughout the appointment. I discussed an existing medical issue that I treated with my past four primary care physicians, to which he said he didnt have the needed education of most primary care physicians and it would be dangerous if he tried to help me. I wont be back. Also, please note, Dr. Lee has two Yelp pages, the other page is a solid 1 star.
Yes, I am or was a patient of Dr. Karl Lee for several years. I have notice in the past three years, I have been very unhappy with his ability of being a doctor. The waiting room is a mess, not to mention the office staff is rude and have you waiting for long period of time. Dr Lee doesnt care about the pain that a patient is having, only thing he says its OLD AGE. I have bad knees due to an auto accident. I have arthritis in my lower, back. leg and knees and he doesnt even suggest any pain medications to take. I received a copy of my blood test, and according to them I have high cholesterol. high hemoglobin and acid, and according to Dr. Lee I am normal.I will be reporting him into the medical insurance carrier, that I have. After today I will be defiantly looking for a new doctor.
Dr. Lee is great. Ive been seeing him about 15+ yrs now. The wait in the waiting room is a little long but not too bad. Also, he is very knowledgeable and explains things patiently.
Ive been going to Dr. Lee for quite some time now. He is the first primary care physician I have had since I was a kid that actually listens to his patients and, just as importantly, explains things to them in a way that can be understood. To the folks who have written bad reviews in the past, I would say that, yes, the staff in the past hasnt been the greatest. In fact, it was terrible. But Dr. Lee has new staff now that seem pretty good. I had a 930 appointment the other day and got into see Dr Lee at 940. During the appointment, he needed to refer me to a specialist and they had the paperwork done and approved by my insurance company by the time my appointment was complete.
I have been Dr. Lees patient since I was diagnosed with Diabetes a couple of years ago. He is a very knowledgeable doctor who explains all about the condition and where it may lead to. He thoroughly goes over all the options I have for treatment and provide suggestions/recommendations on how to improve ones health. If Im going on a long trip and my meds at the time will only last me less than a month, he would give me a whole bunch of samples so that I wouldnt be out of the meds. One time, my visit with Dr. Lee was interrupted by a phone call on his cell. He was very angry at the person who called because he explained that he doesnt appreciate others interrupting his time that has been dedicated to his patient at the moment. From that moment on, I believed he has good work ethics.Recently, when my prescription was denied by my new insurance, Dr. Lee called me at night telling me what happened and what my alternatives are so that my insurance can cover. He then faxed the new prescription over to my pharmacy the next morning. The only negative side to seeing Dr. Lee is the wait. Your wait time can be anywhere from 1 2 hours. So thats why Im taking 1 star away. Otherwise, Im sticking to this doctor.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
