So attentive and thorough! Great and caring! Puts patient health above all else, follows latest guidelines, and is well versed in new technology. Really appreciated the caring advice to get a cancer gene screen given a new cancer incident in my family Dr Shapiro also gave me a thoughtful referral to follow up on another health concern that's been on my mindComing out of Dr Shapiro's office: I felt assured, that I'm in good hands, that Dr Shapiro can help guide me through the healthcare system to get the right preventative care without any anxiety. Happy that I found such a great gynecologist!

Apparently having pain in my uterus and abnormal bleeding is not considered an 'emergency' during this time of COVID quarantine...so much as though Dr. Shapiro BLOCKed me and for reasons I guess I shouldn't go to urgent care now since it is a 'non-emergency'. I have to agree with the yelp reviews about her blunt "insensitivity." Her immediate response to blocking me was totally unnecessary and I would have felt better if she just simply ignored my kind inquiry. She was obviously intentional about this.

I haven't seen Dr. Shapiro in a couple of years - but that's partially on me and part due to the fact that she did such a good job with me as a surgeon. I came with a complicated case in my mid-40s after another OB thoroughly screwed me over during the delivery of my third baby. Others tried to fix my problem with birth control pill. It wasn't working so I came to Dr. Shapiro. True, she asked me some serious questions given the way I spoke about the previous doctor that messed me up for life (without revealing the details here). She asked if I would be spreading rumors about her if I decide that I don't like the way she way she treats me. I assured her that I am not the litigious type.Anyway she did a procedure for me that got me off the pill for good and, knock on wood, the problem has not returned! I also found out that she did the same surgery for other women who came to her because she operates with an anesthesiologist unlike Kaiser that does the same surgery under the local anesthetic only. When I returned for a follow up visit, she confused me with someone else and tried to tell me that she already showed all the images to my husband right after the surgery and explained everything to him when we knew for sure that she didn't. She may not have the best bedside manner, but what's more important to you: that someone kisses your behind in the office or a specialist with knowledge, exceptional skills, and a lot of experience of where to apply that knowledge?

Saw her once and the experience was a bit icky......won't be going back.

I agree with all the negative reviews. This doctor is one of the worst OBGYNs I've ever had. She's insensitive, blunt, disrespectful, and most importantly, doesn't have the right bed side manners. BEWARE!!!

Dr. Shapiro is AWESOME! I was sad to find out she no longer delivers babies since she helped me along the journey of getting pregnant, but she is the best gynecologist! She is so patient and really takes her time answering questions and explaining ultrasounds. Her staff, Veronica, Bridget, Brianna (hope I'm remembering everyone's names) is absolutely lovely, they're so kind and take the time to follow up with you and are super friendly on the phone as well if you call in with a question. The office location is great, located at Seton with ample parking.

This is a terrible doctor who gave an incorrect diagnosis of Stage 3 CANCER when my mother had an abdominal abscess that ruptured and she had infection. Don’t use Shapiros services. They are horrible. Do yourself a favor and stay away!!

I love Dr. Shapiro as she really cares about her patients. I trust her. She has been my doctor for over 20 years, and is always cheerful, professional and competent. When I needed an operation, she visited me every day to see how I was progressing; a very caring person and doctor.
