List of Krueger Orthopaedics's Reviews
My name is Gary C. Schenauer. (Carl Shen is the name I sign to my Gmail correspondence.) I live in Fernley, Nevada (35 miles east of Reno). I'm almost 70 y/old. Two months ago, on Oct 24, 2019, while visiting friends in the Paso Robles, CA, area, I tripped and fell. I realized I had broken my leg. My friend drove me to the nearest hospital, which turned out to be Twin Cities Community Hospital (Templeton, CA). At the ER, an Xray revealed a full break across the femur bone of my right leg, just below the hip socket. I was admitted to the TCCH MedSurge ward. Two hours after I was placed in my room, the night nurse stopped in to give me more information. She said that although the schedules for the TCCH operating rooms were already full for the approaching day, a Dr. Krueger had already placed a request for any available time so that he would be able to perform a surgical repair procedure on my broken leg. Around 10 AM, Dr. Krueger entered my room and introduced himself. He was friendly and very professional. He inquired how I had broken my leg. He then showed me the Xray, pointed out the break, and explained that, despite the inconvenience and pain, I was actually quite fortunate because there had been no injury to muscles, blood vessels, or to the hip socket area so the surgical repair would be relatively easy for him. He drew a sketch showing exactly where he would cut, exactly the method he would use to insert a rod into my leg, and exactly the two screws he would implant into my leg to secure the rod. He assured me that he would perform the surgery before he went home that day, and he ended his visit by saying, "I enjoy my profession and I'm good at what I do, so if you trust me to do my part and if you then do your part by following physical therapy instructions, you will be healed and have full use of your leg again in 10 to 12 weeks." Four hours later, I was taken to the operating room. Dr. Krueger stopped in again about an hour after I awoke from surgery. He assured me that the operation had gone perfectly. The next day was a Saturday. Dr. Krueger visited me again. Shortly after he left, a P/T therapist entered with a metal walker and said, "Dr. Krueger wants you up and walking." So I got up and started walking. Dr. Krueger visited me again on Sunday. Then, early Monday morning, I was discharged from TCCH and my wife drove the nine-hour drive to our home in Nevada. Four days later I was seen by a Reno-area orthopedic surgeon who told me the post-op Xrays showed that Dr. Krueger had performed a "masterful" surgical procedure. That's what the Reno doctor said, ... a "masterful" surgical procedure .... I will probably never see Dr. Krueger again. I met him on a Friday before surgery, then again Friday evening, then on Saturday, and then on Sunday. (Of course, I also "met" him in the OR but I don't really remember that instance.) So I met Dr. Krueger four times. But I owe him a thousand "Thanks." Today is Dec 23rd. I broke my leg eight weeks ago. But I am already walking as tho I had never suffered an injury. I am hiking (two and a half miles yesterday). I cannot jog yet, but soon. I keep a cane with me, but I can walk without using it. And on the Xray taken last week, no break is visible. If not for the rod and screws on the Xray, no one would know I had ever broken my leg. Two months and I'm fine again. So I give Dr. Krueger 5 "stars." I'd give him four times as many if I could. This is a long narrative. But Dr. Krueger is worth the time it took me to type it. And if someone is reading this, I assure you that Dr. Krueger's skills are very well worth your time to read this. I'll sum up my feelings by saying this: "When I suffered the misfortune of breaking my leg hundreds of miles away from home, my misfortune became great fortune because I ended up with Dr. Krueger as my orthopedic surgeon." Thank You, Dr. Krueger. Most Very Sincerely, Gary C. Schenauer (Fernley, NV)

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
