Neil Okamura's Online Review Report Card

Dr Okamura has been the primary physician for my wife and I for a good part of the last 20 years. Both of us are retirees; I am 82 and she is 71. He appears to keep up with the current trends in medicine, which for me as a scientist is very important. He has solved several pain issues associated with my wife and me. In a recent and very serious incident with my health, he was easily available and made several visits with me during rehabilitation. He has an excellent bedside manner, is easy to talk with, and takes a genuine interest in our healthcare needs. He is an accomplished doctor and a great guy. We are very happy that we found someone like him to serve at the frontline of our medical needs. We have not infrequently recommended him to our friends and relatives.

The very extensive yearly physicals are well worth the expense of having a concierge doctor like Dr. Neil Okamura especially for those who are older and have had serious health issues. Evaluations and tests on an annual basis are essential for maintaining good health, plus Dr. Okamura is the BEST for taking time to explain the issues and suggest solutions. Every day good health during the rest of the year is also covered. After a very painful pancreatitis attack, Dr. Okamura saw me the same day, gave me tests and dealt successfully with the issue. Recently, having a serious wound, I sent a picture to his nurse. He called me with a detailed plan that didn’t involve either emergency or a doctor’s visit. Probably this is the best part of using his practice—having an available consultation that keeps me, the patient, in control of my health with the caveat that I should see him if the home procedures did not solve the problem. My husband and I are very happy as clients of Dr. Okamura.

Dr. Okamura is truly a one of a kind doctor and his team is wonderful. His partner Cynthia offers wellness coaching and I think it’s such a great complement to medicine for true health and wellness. As a licensed physical therapist, I have the opportunity to meet many patients and they all have wonderful things to say about Dr. O and his team. He is a big believer in natural remedies including nutrition, hands on manual therapy and exercise such as Pilates. I’d highly recommend Dr O and his team!

I recently entered a phase requiring shoulder replacement; however this is delayed by TAVR surgery and followup warfarin treatment. Neil has remained very involved ensuring side issues are managed; he is closely monitoring effects upon other organs to ensure focus on the one discipline does not cause collateral damage. In doing this he interceded unexpectedly (for which I am very grateful!) and alerted me and my cardio to these issues. He has personally phoned in evenings and weekends to make timely contact and corrections, exactly what I expect of my MDVIP association. I'm very satisfied!

I have finally found the most wonderful doctor!! His knowledge and bedside manner are above all the other doctors I have ever seen. He just went thru a change with his staff, and has put together a great office that is always helpful, courteous and caring!

Dr. Okamura is one of the last breed of doctors that really care about his patients...He listens, he checks up on you, he cares for you. He is the best.
