I had a great experience at Spine Zone. The intake evaluation by Jenny was very thorough and my physical therapist Cameron was great. The front desk receptionist was always friendly. Thanks Spine Zone!
Highly recommended. Professional and nice people you will meet there. They are different from other physical therapy clinic by specializing on spine problems.
I went to SpineZone as a last resort before opting for spinal fusion surgery. I spent close to three months making a valiant effort to reduce the severe pain I was suffering.Although the PT didn't help my back situation, the conditioning I received before my surgery and the strategy for coping with pain and discomfort is helping me have a speedy recovery now.Back surgery is a huge decision. I wanted to make absolutely sure I had done everything possible to avoid it, which is always the advice of every good surgeon including mine. I am glad I spent the time with SpineZone. The staff are really attentive, dedicated and knowledgeable. I even had the privilege of consulting Dr. R when my symptoms weren't subsiding. I feel confident that I gave it my best effort.
Highly recommend. The staff are knowledgeable and kind. I went in with what I thought was a back issue. With the help of staff was recommended for MRI. Through this it was found I need a hip replacement. The pain resonated into my back. Waiting for surgery now. Thank you Spine Zone.
I have suffered with back and neck pain off and on for over twenty years. I have tried everything--physical therapy from 3 different outfits, shots in my spine and neck, acupuncture, meditation, prescription pain patches, massage, etc. and nothing made much of an improvement until I tried SpineZone. I was skeptical at first because, as some other reviewers said, you are only there for 30 minutes and the staff starts you out slowly, so it doesn't seem like you're really doing much. However, I kept up with the home exercises as instructed and within three weeks, the sharp pain that radiated from my lower back down to my buttock and leg completely went away. I had been living with that pain for about a year and a half and it's hard to describe how transformative it is to finally be able to move about normally. I am back to hiking, 3 to 4 mile walks, climbing stairs with ease and even my stiff neck is better. The staff of the Del Mar location have all been terrific--I have worked with Lucas, Kevin, Luis and Jenny and every one of them was extremely knowledgable, professional and kind. I would recommend booking all of your appointments at once so that you can get the days and times that work best for you. I am really grateful to SpineZone--FIVE STARS ALL THE WAY!
Luis Alvarez is terrific!Thoughtful, knowledgeable and just overall great to work with! I really appreciated his dedicationHis understanding and his overall demeanor Thank you Luis for a great experience
This place is a waste of time. 30 minute sessions covered by insurance, and in that time you do 20 reps, 1 set, of 4 different exercises.
This is an excellent place to work on back issues. They have helped me a lot.
I've had neck pain for 18 years that has prevented me from doing what I liked to do. After going to SpineZone and doing the exercises they sent me everyday at home and going in for appointments twice a week my neck pain is gone. I was able to go SCUBA diving again without any adverse effects. It's nice to be able to live how I want to live again.
Medically negligent is one way of summing up this center! That is what I call designing a PT program based on the wrong patient's x-rays! It seemed odd when during my 1st session, my assigned PT kept referring to a recent back and neck x-ray, saying I had a specific condition when I didn't recall this x-ray. I looked at my Scripps portal and didn't see any imaging for my back/neck, so I called SpineZone and asked which x-ray are you referring to? Imagine my surprise, when I was told, I had images taken in June 2021! When I explained no, that's not possible, I don't have any record of it and I know it didn't happen. It turns out SpineZone pulled a different patient's x-ray to my account and designed a whole PT program around this other person! There is all kinds of wrong with this situation and all the SpineZone rep could say was, thanks for bringing this to our attention! Yea so I canceled my remaining appointments and will never return again. I've also relayed this disastrous situation to my referring doc to never send patients to SpineZone again!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
