List of The Oncology Institute Of Hope And Innovation's Reviews
I've been calling their contact number for the past 2 days and no answer . I been on hold for over 30 mins . This is extremely frustrating especially because I need to make an appointment & this is delaying my care.
This is the Oncology place were they take care of you and make sure that all your medical needs are mets.....love my doctors the nurses make you feel safe and they are all friendly. I would highly recommend this doctors to other for any treatments that they would need.
Orginally was told I had 6 months to live back in December 2020.This past December, I had gotten results from my MRI and PET that my cancer had returned. My orginal doctor called and told me that I needed to do chemo and that the prognosis wasn't good. This doctor also informed me that her contact was up and that I would had a new doctor. My new doctor told me that I had 6 months to live and that I should "make end of life arrangements". He made the recommendation that I seek out other institutions for clinical trials to hope "extended my life." He told me that even with treatment I probably only had a year. Now, imagine the emotional breakdown one would have after receiving that kind of news. I know it's not their job but it would have been nice for them to offer counseling with that kind of news. I just got a "sorry we can't do more for you." and "good luck." I'm now being treated at City of hope. I'm not dying. My new prognosis is the exact opposite from the original. This is NOT a reflection of the office employees, nurses, and other staff. They were always amazing with me. Don't blame them for things going wrong. They are extremely understaffed with limited means. Some things were completely out of their control. It's not their fault that their corporate office is crap.
Everyone in this office was very nice. I was seen pretty quickly. The waiting room was very nice and clean. There was only five people in the waiting room, including me. And by the time I was done with my appointment, the waiting room was empty. It seemed like they staggered their appointments that way on purpose because of Covid. I am grateful for that!
Everybody there is courteous and very helpful
This is the WORST clinic I have EVER delt with. Doctors book 3 patients per 15 minute time block then make their sick patients wait for hours to be seen. I have never been seen bybthe doctor even within a 30 minute time of when my actual appointment was for. THEY SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES. IT IS ALL ABOUT THE INSURANCE MONEY, NOT NOT THE PARIENT.
Patient care and office visits are excellent the phone answering system is POOR. I have made numerous attempts to make an appointment, the options always lead me to a "hold for next available" only to be placed for long periods of time, 20-30 min. without personnel response to the call.
Dr david morris he my doctor. For me he best doctor. Just say to everyone should go see him.
Dr. David Morrison and his staff are always diligent about making sure I'm getting the best care for the best cost. Oh, and thanks for saving my life!
Worst Oncology Institute in the whole Los Angeles. There are WAY, WAY BETTER Institutes than this one. My honest opinion is that they should close this place or at least replace ALL OF THE RECEPTIONISTS! I swear if these lady's don't like there job or get frustrated quickly with patients who need have trouble understanding, then why even work there. This shouldn't be for no money or check. It's their JOB! They knew what their position consists of and still are unprofessional?! Spoke to a women name "Sophia" (Don't know if she gave me her real name or just a random name) who was scared to give me her last name to file a report against her. Very furious about this experience with The Oncology Institute of Downey. 0 stars for sure!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
