William Rubinson's Online Review Report Card

Unprofessional staff and doctors! This use to be my primary and this review is long over due! I went in for possible allergies, not Covid! I already had tested negative and these people made me wait an hour, just to come back and tell me that I couldn't be seen for possible Covid. Mind you, they had already placed me in a room after checking my BP, weight, and heartrate. So, I asked why and that's what they told me. I wasn't feeling well and it turns out that my BP was through the roof and I only found out after calling back and the call was sent to a different location and the doctor there was the one who told me when he checked my chart. I ended up going to the hospital and weeks later I went back and was left waiting for an hour and I walked out. They ended up terminating me as a patient and told my insurance Blue Cross that I had lied to them about possible Covid. I had allergies and HP pressure incompeten staff. I filed a grievance. They got it twisted because because I had mentioned that there office had sent me to get antibody testing because I know I had Covid back in March 2020 when pandemic first started and we couldn't get tested. So, this is how this office operates. They go by their illogical thinking cut ties without even informing the patient. I only found out after trying to pick up my HB medication at pharmacy and was told that they are not authorizing my refills. Turns out they had dropped me without notifying me! Wow! This was by far my worst experience at a medical office and I don't recommend them at all!!

This happens to be my primary care doctors office and i hate going there. They are extremely insensitive. The front desk person VANESSA treats me the worst especially that i have something wrong with me that makes me smell bad hence the reason im going to the doctor.....she is very rude to me everytime i go. I dread seeing her. DONT GO TO THIS OFFICE.

Worst place I have ever been to would not recommend this Dr office at all they dont even deserve a 1 star was promised a male physician at time of my husband's appt on phone when we showed up the office was in a duplex like housing setting screaming kids everywhere like a nightmare Free clinic/ county facility waited in the lobby for 30mins called back to room was told only female Dr's on staff tried to push us off to another location where thier are male Dr's why weren't we told this at time of appt waited in room for about an hour my husband got inpatient and we left without seeing a Dr. due to the fact this so called mad house of a Dr's office didnt come back to the room to see him after 1 hr of waiting. Would Never go back to this place EVER.!!!

Made an appointment to see Dr. Rubinson at 3:30pm. I arrived on time and filled out the new patient paperwork within 5 minutes. Sat in the waiting room for over an hour This office is not only for appointments but also an urgent care. I finally asked what was going on and why I made an appointment if I was just going to be taken in turn like any other person. They said sorry, but that they now need my copay, but I would go in next. Over 1.5hrs to be seen and Dr. Rubinson isn't even there.

He may be older, but he's smart as a whip! He's very caring, too. I like his thoroughness and concern for the outcome. I've had symptoms dismissed by other doctors, but Dr. Rubinson wanted to find out what was causing the problems. I really like him. Office staff is hit or miss. My name was horribly misspelled, so on my next visit, they couldn't even find it. One gal seemed so preoccupied with something else she barely spoke. First visit wait time was 45 minutes, but the next was 15.

Dr Rubinson was my family Dr. My parents meet him when he first opened his practice in Arleta in the late 50's. He delivered 3 out of the 5 kids in my family, myself including. And took great care of all of us throughout our lives and both of my parents til their deaths in '91 and '02. Dr Robinson was from a time when Dr's were thorough and personal. A very involved way of practicing medicine that has sadly been abandoned thru the years. If he got news on your condition test results etc regardless of the time , he'd call you immediately. Or if you needed him late at night or on weekends? You could always get him on the phone. He always made himself available. He's also had an amazing memory for the medical histories of his patients. Special needs, basics, quirks etc. He Knew when something was out of character or just the opposite like ongoing troubles and habits and approached treatments accordingly. He was the definition of "old school". The kind of doctor you wish for for you or your loved ones. They just don't make them like Dr Rubinson anymore. And that's a sad thing. When facing a very serous illness or potentially worse, in either yourself or a loved one, you want someone professional, knowledgeable, approachable, compassionate, honest and available to you whenever you have questions. He also always took special care to inquire after the well-being of all involved , ie; family members into how the situation was effecting them. And offer or arrange whatever assistance needed. It's sad to think that physicias providing that level of care is unheard of anymore.

The Doctor is good. But all the problem with the rude staff both in person and over the phone was unacceptable. Too Bad for the Doctor as the staff was my only reason in not continuing at this hospital.

We miss our doctor of 30+ years. We have moved away and I often think of one of the best doctors I have ever known. We miss being cared for by a doctor that we really had confidence in.

I love Dr. Rubinson he is my spouse and I's primary physician. Dr Rubinson is very thorough and he is genuinely concerned about your well being. He takes the all the time and attention you need he follows up to see how you are doing, the time does not matter. We love him! I would recommend him to anyone and everyone.
