Dr. Aaron Lewis saved my husband’s life! After being diagnosed with abdominal cancer, the physicians at Kaiser wanted to start with chemo, knowing the cancer was resistant to it, rather than having the surgery. Getting the second opinion with Dr Lewis gave us the hope we needed. Because of the size of the tumor, Dr Lewis was up front with us that it was going to be a difficult surgery and the road to recovery would be long, but he was confident that he could do the resection, which he did and my husband is cancer free. The recovery has been slow but Dr Lewis has been there every step of the way. Even after my husband was discharged to a long term acute care facility, Dr Lewis is still there with us making sure of my husband’s progress. This man is the most caring physician I have ever seen, truly putting his patients first and never giving up on them. We were so blessed to have found him and cannot thank him enough for the gift of another day.
