I would give him more stars if possible. He's a very serious surgeon, I wasn't looking for someone with great bedside manners to help save my life. I was looking for the best colon surgeon on earth, and I found him at the Great City of Hope (Dr Andreas Kaiser). He will be my doctor for life.
I certainly would, I had surgery performed by Kaiser’s team in October 2018 and it changed my life for the better, I had been having feces and blood In my urine. I had a fistula. I had open prostate surgery performed about four years earlier and had had issues with infections, fevers for a number of years and even went to numerous specialists who could not figure out what was wrong.
I’ve been seeing Dr. Kaiser for more than 10 yrs and he’s the best. Very soft spoken and makes an uncomfortable situation tolerable.
Not exactly happy with this doctor. His office did not check on my insurance and I'm stuck paying a $43000 hospital Bill. Surgery was a joke, tumor burst and he did not get all the cancer out and I am now terminal. This was 5 years ago this month and I'm on another chemo treatment (I've lost count now). He made it a point to tell me how fat i was numerous times. I don't think he's that great a doctor and no bedside manner.
Dr Kaiser performed a very challenging arthroscopic surgery on my removing my cancerous anus and rectum. He was very available and his office staff is excellent and responsive I am forever grateful to Dr Kaiser as he clearly saved my life. It is two years later and I have had NO recurrance of a very aggressive melanoma of the anus/rectum. I cannot thank Dr. Kaiser enough.
Dr. Kaiser saved my life. After two months in a Kaiser Permanente Hospital, 3 major surgeries, and in ICU on a ventilator in septic shock I was told that I needed to have a bowel resection and possibly a permanent ostomy. I found Dr. Kaiser. I was immediately impressed by his patience, calmness, and expertise. I was terrified to have another surgery. He was firm yet kind. I had the surgery—a triple resection with no ostomy. His surgical skill is beyond compare. His character is beyond reproach.
A true doctor in every sense of the word. Patient, kind hearted, understanding, and has a sense of humor once you get to know him. He is the only surgeon out of five that I interviewed that said he would not place a colostomy bag on me if he didn't have to, and he is a man of his word. More surgeons should model his work ethics.
Honestly the BEST doctor, no question ! (and my own wife is a doctor ). He is really knowledgable and experienced and knows the answers to everything you ask him. If there was a way to give him 6 Stars I would.
I met Dr.Kaiser as an emergency procedure patient at USC Keck Hospital in 2012. After that procedure I saw Dr.Kaiser again. I decided to make him my Dr for Colorectal matters. I had NO LIFE. I had to stay near a restroom. I did not travel I did nothing. Dr.Kaiser, suggested a colostomy. I was scared but he assured me it was for my best interest to have it done. Well in mid 2013 he did the surgery, it took over 8 hours. It took months to learn how to use it etc. Since I have had the colostomy my LIFE has been GREAT!! I have climbed MYAN ruins in Mexico, I have swam the warm waters of the Caribbean and I have paddle board in the Panama jungle all with 2 ostomies! I had NEVER done those things before my surgeries! Thank Dr.Kaiser for giving me LIFE again! I recommend Dr.Kaiser without a DOUBT!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
