Badrudin Kurwa Md's Online Review Report Card

IF you have insurance with this Dr. and need pre-authorization, DO NOT USE THIS DR. This is basic patient care stuff and the office manager, AMALIA, and the DR. would not help me get the medicine I need, by filling out pre-authorization forms for the drug with my insurance. My insurance EVEN CALLED THEM to get the drug I needed pre-approved and the insurance said the doctor and office manager denied to authorize the medicine, which is basic paperwork for insurance. The insurance lady also said THEY HAVE NEVER HAD A DOCTOR not help a patient get the eye medicine needed. The insurance was ready to approve it, they just needed the paperwork. BEWARE. this doctor does not even care about his patients if medicine is needed. The insurance lady helped me and called California Eye Center, who helped me out FINALLY! Go to California Eye Center instead of this bozo. The insurance has said they are flagging this doctor because if they will not help the patient with basic pre-approval this is a red flag.

My experience was great with Dr. Kurwa. I will say that due to having 3 different locations, wait times can vary. But none the less, his experience and friendly demeanor exceeded my expectations. I felt comfortable knowing he would be doing lasik on my eyes. The process was fast but I HIGHLY recommend taking the muscle relaxers they offer before the procedure. I didn't take them so I did tense up a bit, but he talked me through the whole procedure. I knew what was going to happen before it actually did. I have 20/20 vision now. soooooo worth it!! Thanks Dr. Kurwa

The staff is very rude. They Don't have a clue on what's going on.

It was a amazing pleasure to have met the nurses and medical staff at this facility during eye cataracts surgery May 19 2020. I was very nervous going in however the service I received was holistic in nature to my wellbeing and they decrease my anxiety and fear of the procedure.,They explained every detail, step by step of the pre op. Once I woke up from the surgery, I was treated with respect and kindness. I am very thankful with their services and their patient treatment model. I am happy with their services. They made my visit special. Thank you.

Dr Kurwa and staff were very professional and helpful. Amalia was awesome and made you feel like family. The surgery was quick and painless and I couldn't be happier with my choice to get this done. The consultation was very informative and again I couldn't be happier with having my perfect vision back. Thanks again to the entire Kurwa eye staff for everything.

As a fifth-year medical exchange student from the Netherlands, I was able to closely observe and shadow Dr. Bud Kurwa for three weeks in his clinics in Arcadia, Glendora and West Covina. Dr. Kurwa is very experienced and known for his cataract and LASIK surgeries. His medical practice is one of the leading laser vision correction centers serving the San Gabriel Valley community for years, with more than twenty years of experience in LASIK eye surgery. Dr. Kurwa received a lot of compliments from his patients with improved vision and fast recovery time.I am fascinated by how Dr. Kurwa cares more about helping patients of any culture or socioeconomic background than he cares about his finances. Dr. Kurwa is an excellent diagnostician and outstanding in his communication with his patients, compared to other physicians I observed during my rotations. In my opinion, he definitely commands respect and I can see that all his patients are more than grateful to have him as a caring and compassionate doctor.I really appreciate Dr. Bud Kurwa for teaching and coaching me in private and that I could ask questions at all times. Also, his staff was very friendly and patient. I would like to thank Dr. Bud Kurwa and his staff for hosting me and I will definitely take these positive experiences with me in my practice as a doctor in the future.

Gross Incompetence. Too upset to go into details. When a doctor becomes TOO BIG for his own britches, he can become quite arrogant, and that is extremely dangerous for the patient.

If I could give Dr. Kurwa staff zero stars I would. I had an appointment today at 2:05. I work in Anaheim so I left work at 12:30 to head to the Glendora office. I received a phone call at 1:45 to inform me that the doctor was out of the office and won't be back until 3 o'clock. I then asked what time can I see the doctor she said well you can still come to the office and wait if you want or you can reschedule. I explained to her that I had driven all the way from Anaheim and had to leave work early she didn't seem to care at all. Front office girls have no compassion and no understanding and value of peoples time. Dr Kurwa is a great doctor but his office staff is horrible. I guess I will have to find another ophthalmologist as it's not gonna work out with this office

Got the surgery done last month, eyes are doing great. I had horrible vision and now I can see. Ask for the 2 year financing if you qualify, really helped make it affordable. Thanks Dr Kurwa
