Hany Elrashidy's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Elrashidy, PA Dawn Wong, and the rest of Dr. Elrashidy's team, are ELITE. In my experience, it is rare to build relationships on a first name basis with your physician and staff, that show genuine care, go the extra mile, and do everything in their ability to support you for your issue, procedure, medication, and recovery.  Fortunately for me, an active adult male who gets injured, this has been the bright part of sustaining injuries.  While I don't look forward to going to the doctor, when I have to see Dr. Elrashidy or his team, I know without hesitation that I'm going to have a great experience, and walk out with good direction and/or outcomes.  Regardless of what the business name or DBA is, as long as Dr. Elrashidy and his team are here, I'll be back for treatment, as will my family, friends, and colleagues. Where to even begin! Long story short, I tore my meniscus while learning how to snowboard.. Lucky me, right?! Dr. Hany Elrashidy took such great care of me. I was so nervous as this was my first injury/ surgery.. Dr. Hany Elrashidy assured me and talked me through all the steps we were going to do to get me back walking, running and learning to snowboard again. Got an MRI done and we scheduled surgery. I knew healing was going to be tough for me but Dr. Hany helped me by going above and beyond. Did some physical therapy, some daily stretches to help with the healing. Not only did Dr. Hany take great care of me but, I didn't feel like I was just a "patient" to him and his team! I would definitely recommend Dr. Hany to anyone I know! Thank you Dr. Hany! (The patient who asked a million questions! Your staff will remember me.)

I can see why people leave 5 star reviews for Dr. Elrashidy - when you first meet him he makes you feel like everything is going to be great and he will take a good care of you. I had the same feeling when I first met him. But believe the 1 star reviews because they are the true stories. I had a skiing accident now almost five years ago. I tore my ACL. Unfortunately, I didn't do the surgery right away. 2.5 years later after I had a baby I did ACL and a meniscal repair with Dr. Elrashidy. He assured me that I will feel 100% after recovery. 6 months after surgery I was still in pain. It was better than before surgery but I couldn't last through my 8 hour shift at work without being hurt and I was still limping. I addressed all of those concerns with doctor's NP (or PA, I cannot remember now). I guess after surgeries he doesn't feel the need to follow up with his patients himself. They again sent me for another round of PT ( which I have been doing nonstop after the surgery) and said it will get better. Then the pandemic started and elective surgeries were put on hold. Suddenly, his office reached out to me to see how I was doing. Dr. Elrashidy himself did a Zoom meeting (I guess since elective surgeries were put on hold they needed to bring money in somehow someway). I again addressed that i was still not 100% and still sore and achy. He said someone from his office will reach out to me to give me more information on some sort of a program/app that supposed to help me. No one reached out. Soon after I found out I was pregnant again, so the knee kind of became a second priority for me at that time. Fast forward to 2.5 years after the surgery. On top of my chronic pain, I started feeling sharp pain that wasn't there before. I went back to Webster Orthopedics. Dr. Elrashidy was skeptical when I said we should get an MRI and see what was going on with my knee. He didn't feel it was needed. I became upset and frustrated with the whole situation and he finally ordered one. Sure thing: MRI showed that my ACL graft was completely retorn and I still had meniscal tear! Seriously?! I wish I had asked for an MRI back when I was 6 months after surgery. Now, 2.5 years later I need EXACTLY THE SAME SURGERY ON THE SAME KNEE AGAIN! How frustrating is that. He was surprised with MRI results and said he doesn't think that is the case, as his assessment is "as important as the MRI" and based on "his assessment" my knee feel stable. Well, I believe MRI and I have pain. What else do you need from the patient? You have a symptom and a test result that says there is a tear but you don't believe that's the case because your assessment says otherwise?! Maybe you should listen to your patients not your ego. Oh, and he adds that I am "probably his first retear case in like 5 years." I am sorry for being that one case to ruin your good numbers. To add to this, at the end of the appointment (by this time I am pretty upset and all I can think about is how am I going to go through this again with two small children at home and not being able to walk 2-3 weeks) he is showing me a video of how they celebrated his daughter's 2nd birthday. Do I care? How unprofessional and inconsidered is that. I am your patient, not your friend. Bottom line: I do not recommend this doctor. He will make you feel like he is going to take good care of you and show you how great of a job he has done.  But he doesn't listen to your concerns as his ego screams much louder. He is nice when you support his stats, his good numbers, if you happen to be anything other than that, well, you are on your own. Now, I have a surgery scheduled for next month with a different doctor. And my advice to you is to find someone else.

Dr. Elrashidy is a phenomenal doctor. He has taken care of my shoulders and knees for years and they couldn't be happier :)

I've been under Dr. Elrashidy's care since 2014. He has operated on my knees and has also done a distal bicep repair. Throughout my life, there have been 4 surgeons that have operated on me and Dr. Elrashidy is hand's down the best. He's honest, responsive, and cares a ton. I continue to get annual MRIs on my knees and he will call me soon after to discuss the results and suggest if there is a course of action. Yes, he calls me and he has also suggested that no action is necessary. He's the best and I would recommend him to anyone.

I wish I had seen the one star reviews before Dr Elrashidy did the surgery on my broken leg. I've had a similar negative experience. I fell on my Knee on concrete from a height of about 3 ft and broke a piece of bone off of the tibial plateau, fractured the tibia and tore the meniscus. Upon intake, Dr Elrashidy said he could fix it and it would probably be back to 100%, then he said, well 95%. That would have been great, but instead, it looks like I'm now stuck with chronic pain for life. It will be three years at the end of December and I still have pain in my knee and the back of my knee and calf due to nerve damage done during the surgery. My whole body is out of alignment now and I think this will effect the quality of my life forever. During the first 1.5 years, I told Dr Elrashidy several times about the pain and he would tell me to look at the xray to see what an excellent job he had done. Then the pandemic hit, and I didn't see him again as he expressed no interest in dealing with the reality of the results.I've seen four different Physical Therapists, tried yoga and pilates (which I used to be good at and can no longer do without pain), I've seen a massage therapist and a dr of Naprapathy out of pocket without positive results. I've done everything that these practitioners told me to do.

Sadly - my husband's experience with Dr. Elrashidy was not good. He went to him for surgery for a torn meniscus about 2 years ago. Following that surgery - his pain never improved, so Dr. Elrashidy gave him gel injections on 3 separate occasions - at 6-month intervals; and stated that a knee replacement would be the next step. Out of frustration - he went to a different, and highly recommended, orthopedic surgeon today who immediately sent me for an MRI, and found a remaining large complex tear of the body of the medial meniscus. This was never addressed by Dr. Elrashidy. Now - 2 years later, he will need a 2nd surgery to rectify these overlooked critical issues.

I had a labrum tear and did not go with the Cortizone injection that another doctor had recommended from another practice. I researched the PRP injection and went for it. Dr. Elrashidy is amazing and I am back running. I believe the science is still new when it comes to PRP injections but I am glad I did it. Many of the docks at Webster are top notch and you can tell from the resumes Webster picks from the top. Overall great experience.

Dr.Elrashidy did my ACL and meniscus repair. And as a previous patient I wanted to let you know I have got a MRI scan by another doctor and my ACL and meniscus is still torn. Throughout my year of you being my doctor I asked repetitively for a MRI scan to check the integrity of your surgery and you never did it. Instead you assured me everything was going great and according to plan. You ignored my request and in that time my leg has gotten worse. I trusted you as my doctor. I have to have the same surgery again which will have me of my leg for another 8 months. You never believed me and now I'm a 27 year old with a leg that is worse then it was before seeing you.
