List of J. Theodore Schwartz's Reviews
I saw Dr Schwartz about two years ago after feeling a pop on the inside of my elbow. My regular Dr was booked up at the time and I needed someone to take a look asap. I knew my tendon was likely damaged and wanted to know how badly. As Dr Schwartz examined my inner elbow he pressed down very hard on the tendon rubbing back and forth asking if it hurt for an extended period. As I replayed the situation in my head multiple times I can't help but believe he was trying to disconnect my tendon so I would need surgery. I left that day in worse shape then I came in along with bad pain in my inner elbow for the next several days. When I finally saw my doctor and confirmed through an MRI there was indeed damage to my elbow but luckily the tendon was not fully detached. My regular Dr said this would likely heal on it's own but also suggested I could go back to Dr Schwartz and possibly get surgery which also seemed suspect. Luckily my arm healed without issue. Proceed with caution with this man!
I am disabled today as a result of Dr. Schwartz' refusal to follow-up on any of his insisted upon tests, including a PET Scan that needlessly exposed me to high amounts of radiation. He didn't even bother to read the PET Scan I found out after I spent 6 months in bed with a dislocated shoulder in Level 7-8 pain. I called his office constantly and was told to work through the pain!! I had a seriously dislocated shoulder that needed surgical intervention! I believe he is compromised by either drugs or alcohol. I met with him 3 days ago and he submitted falsified, fraudulent, inflammatory, slanderous, notes into my medical records in an attempt to assassinate my character, to blame me for my medical condition, to exonerate himself, to rewrite my medical history. This doctor is a monster!!! He will disable as he has done me and he might even kill you!! I AM BRINGING LEGAL ACTION AGAINST HIM.
I have seen Dr. Schwartz on several occasions, and he is always been professional and efficient. Today, my visit was at the Webster office in San Ramon. On a prior visit he diagnosed an arm problem and performed elbow surgery for me. Afterwards, he recommended several weeks of arm therapy. Everything worked very well and I was very pleased. Of course, I still have three screws in my elbow, but that is normal, and I hardly ever notice. I now am more careful about riding my bike around railroad tracks.Today the doctor looked into a case of shoulder pain. Everyone was incredibly efficient and the doctor got to the bottom of the problem quite rapidly. This time, I don't need to get any screws put into body parts. It's just a minor thing called a spurI was treated with courtesy and professionalism at all times. Honestly, there's absolutely nothing to complain about.Plus, they gave me a free Webster Orthopedics bag for being a good sport.
Dr. Schwartz was incredible with my husband and got him into surgery extremely fast for such short notice. His staff was awesome as well. Thank you!!
I just want to thank Dr. Theodor Schwartz for his excellent care. Dr. Schwartz helping me relieve my pain in my right thumb and hand. Everything was handled professionally and efficiently.
Dr. Schwartz is personable and professional. His staff is competent and courteous.
Ive been a patient for 20+ years and 4 surgeries. He is the best. His team is also very good and gives plenty of pre and post op information or choices for care.
Dr, Schwartz was great. A caring Doctor. Real nice persona. I highly recommend.
Dr Schwartz was good when I had my private insurance but when I switched for worker com he didn't treat me the same. The person who was attending me was his assistant. He didn't help me. I ended up changing doctors.
Office runs like a clock! Dr and staff all helpful, caring and professional. I feel like I am getting top notch care.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
