Dr. Hsu is actually one of the worst doctors I've ever seen. I brought a family member to see him and he is so rude, doesn't listen to any concerns, completely rushes out and doesn't care about his patients not even 1% She had a very important concern about her eyes and he didn't care. He completely just brushed her off like she wasn't even human. I'm actually going to report him and the horrible office at the El Cajon Blvd location. They don't know what they are doing at all and are not able to even respond a simple question. I was shocked and appalled how this office is running.

My son's opthamologist. He was excellent with Paul, who has CP and Aspergers, and is in a wheelchair. He treated Paul with respect and explained everything clearly.

Dr. Christopher Hsu, is the BEST Ophtalmologist in San Diego. I have been bringing my special needs adult son for 15 years. He has an amazing best bed side manner. Always in great mood, gentle, and very patience with my son. He is well poised.

I had been noticing my failing eyesight for several years but was just to afraid to go and have them checked. One day with a little arm twisting I went to one of the quick walk in places to have my eyes checked and sure enough I had cataracts in both eyes. I searched around for someplace that would accept my insurance (Tricare) and that was close to where I live, I found The Eye Physicians Medical Group and made an appointment with Dr Hsu. On my first visit he did an eye exam and confirmed I had very bad cataracts in both eyes. He explained to me the treatment that I needed and very quickly I was placed at ease with him and the staff. On the visit prior the first eye surgery there was a conflict with my insurance they wanted me to go to Balboa and have it done, I did not what to go there, I give a shout out to Vanessa she worked with my insurance and had it approved for Dr Hsu. Now with both eyes done I can see better than I have in many years. This surgery has done more for me than anything else I can think of. I do have to wear reading glasses but after all I am 60 yrs old. Everyone I dealt with at The Eye Physicians Medical Group was very polite and professional I highly recommend them. I look forward to my next appointment in March.

I recently had to make the switch from over-the-counter readers to "real" glasses...Kind of a hard pill for me to swallow and a bit over due. Dr. Hsu was very patient, kind, knowledgeable, AND FAST, as was the rest of the staff. They squeezed me in last minute...very accommodating. And in spite of the busyness of that office they worked like a well-oiled machine. I was in and out in less than an hour! Not bad for a first time patient...and that included picking out frames! Tammy, the one who helped me choose the frames, took the time to ask what I thought I might prefer, then proceeded to pull the pairs that fit my description. She knew exactly where they were, how much insurance would cover, what my cost would be, and how long it would take to get them. When my glasses came in Tammy is the one who helped me again. Not being used to progressive lenses, she taught me how to hold my head, where to look through the lenses for different distances, and how to care for my new specs! I've had to go back a couple of times to have them adjusted as I grow accustomed to them. I'm always greeted with smiles from all and never feel like a burden. I'm so glad I chose this doctor! And I'm so grateful for all his wonderful staff!
