We dropped my mother off at the ER in La Mesa and Dr. Damavand was on call. This was the morning before New Years Eve. Dr. Damavand took amazing care of my mother. He was extremely attentive, patient and really helped my mother feel taken care of. He went above and beyond, worked with the other doctors for 2 days. He made sure she was ready and released just in time for us to be together for New Years Eve. With all the emotions and everything going on it was great knowing we have access to doctors like Dr. Damavand

He was on-call at Grossmont Hospital when I arrived in ER and was my MD until I was discharged from the hospital. He was very personable and thorough in his explanation of my condition and what treatment options I was going to encounter. He took the time to answer all my questions and checked in on me every day. He consulted a surgeon, just in case, but that ended up not to be necessary. He advised me of my post hospital care and made sure I understood it. I had complete confidence in him while I was in the hospital.

Dr. Damavand is one of the most caring, compassionate doctors I have ever come across. He took care of my Mom for 18 days as if she were his own Mom. He explained everything in great detail, answered every single question I had regarding her care, and made such a difference in her care during this difficult time of our lives.
