Altamed Medical And Dental Group - El Monte's Online Review Report Card

My parents had an appointment at Altamed Dental today with patient coordinator Jacqueline Gallardo to help my dad apply for Medi-Cal, and it was a terrible experience. She was late, didn’t even bother to greet them, and the first thing she asked was about his immigration status. Instead of trying to help, she immediately refused to assist him because of it. It was cold, unprofessional, and humiliating. My parents left feeling judged and disrespected. This is a healthcare facility that claims to serve the community, yet they treated my family like they didn’t belong. No one should be made to feel this way when they are just trying to get basic medical help. Absolutely unacceptable. I hope Altamed reviews how their staff treats patients, because this kind of behavior should never be acceptable in a healthcare setting.

DO NOT GO HERE!! THIS FEELS LIKE DISCRIMINATION: My dad had the WORST experience here. First of all he had an appointment with patient care coordinator, Jacqueline Gallardo to apply for Medi-Cal for the first time. She arrived late and incorrectly stated that he could not even apply because of his immigration status. She refused to fill out an application or explain any eligibility options. Last time Ive checked anyone can apply for Medi-Cal regardless of immigration status. This was extremely UNPROFESSIONAL and dismissive experience, especially for an elderly applicant seeking assistance.

I had a telehealth appointment at 9:20 am and I was waiting for the call and no one was calling. At 10:15 I decided to call on see what happened to my appointment. The dude tells me my medical isn’t active and he would sent a message to the clinic. I knew for a fact my medical was active and told him the name/medical id multiple times he could not get it. In the end I told him I would pay cash anyway. Then at 10:48 they finically to a check in with me and say that a different doctor will see me. Anyway I except because I want to know my test results interpretation and then the doctor doesn’t call until 11:20. The telehealth was less then 5 minutes since the doctor was unable to answer my questions because a neurologist would have to tell me them.

Mala experiencia mi niña está enferma la llevé ahí y la doctora ni atención estaba poniendo sobre lo que le estaba diciendo de lo que tenía mi hija de 3 años y le mandó hacer un ultrasonido y me dijo que en tres días me llegaría la orden por correo y que cuando me llegara fuera al hospital de Los Ángeles a hacerlo y resulta que en el hospital de Los Ángeles no me lo hicieron porque la doctora no puso la orden y ahora fui por la orden a AltaMed y la orden está mal porque mi hija ocupa el ultrasonido en la ingle izquierda y la doctora puso que es en la ingle derecha y ahora tengo que esperar 7 días más para que me den otra orden eso no es justo muy mal servicio

The worst. Went there for an ear rinse, got a rescheduled saying nurses don't do ear rinses, then why schedule me with one in the first place? And she said I can either stay there and see if someone cancels or i come back later like what? She also said 'You're primary doctor is in Pasadena. you can either stay here or go there", lady ive been coming here the past few appointments what. I went back for a 'proper' appointment with a dr who can do an ear rinse, got sent upstairs, denied ear rinse. Said she was going to prescribe me antibiotics, and sent me home. Checked my summary, she never gave me antibiotics, instesd she scheduled me a testing for Gonorrhea. All I said was my ear hurt really bad and the previous dr recommended an ear rinse. NOWHERE did we EVER talk about other things besides an ear rinse. Then I scheduled another appointment for a regular consultation. Waited weeks almost a month for this, got reminder calls and so on. I went in, doctor told me "We aren't your primary doctor anymore so we can't take you in" I've always been with Altamed- and they could've told me this over the phone not have me wait a WHOLE MONTH. They're just the worst and so unorganized.

Never any parking.

This urgent care's employees were all nice, they accepted my insurance with no issues, and they were open to me asking questions. The only problem is their really like wait times. I had to be in the waiting room for two hours until the Doctor that was covered under my insurance locked in for work.

Worst clinic i have ever been to. Most unprofessional staff and doctors. Don't waste your time coming here. I would give 0 starts if I could.
