Brian Magovern's Online Review Report Card

I can testify that Dr. Magovern takes his time and makes sure you are ok to continue doing your business! I never felt like he was bleeding me or my Insurance for money! HE IS TOTALLY TUNED INTO LIKE, LETS SEE HOW YOU ARE DOING! AND, COME BACK IN 3 WEEKS! LOVE THAT ABOUT HIM! He doesnt bleed you or your insurance for money...Dr. Visit and your not ready for work? He cares! I recommend Dr. Magovern to anybody! He seems busy but never to busy to take good care of you!

Dr. Magovern is knowledgable and extremely competent.  Easy to communicate with and compassionate.

I was very fortunate to have met Dr. Magovern through my association with another physician I was seeing for a spinal condition. Brian cleaned up an arthritic problem knee and a couple years worked on my other knee (both arthroscopic) that a different physician botched several years earlier. Both surgeries went well (minimal swelling) and down time was fairly short. Both knees are doing still doing well six years later. He also treated me for a shoulder problem without surgery, although surgery may be eminent at some point in the future. Im glad that Brian is younger than me, hopefully assuring that hell still be practicing as I age and require expert treatments. Not only is he a great physician, he is easy to converse with and explains the medical processes thoroughly. (Not sure why yelp shows me in SFO ... Im in So. Cal., South Bay).

Ditto J.P.s review, with the exception of my not having worked at a hospital where he treated patients.  He is wonderful, replaced both my shoulders.  If ever I were to damage shoulders again, or elbows, I would see him without hesitation.  My shoulders are magnificent!

Dr. Magovern is an excellent physician. He is extremely intelligent, knowledgeable and takes the time to speak with you and listen to you as a patient. I went to him in acute, excruciating pain and he treated me with respect and was aggressive in finding a timely solution that would work most efficiently. He was also very accommodating. I highly recommend him!

My husband broke his toe and I was pleasantly surprised we were able to get in on a Saturday morning!  Dr. Magovern was very thorough and kind.  The xray was done right there so it was super convenient.  Our follow up appointment was in there El Segundo office with Dr. Park.  What beautiful facility!  Very comfortable and modern.  Highly recommend!

Spent 5mn with me, didnt diagnose me at all, and sent me on my way telling me to go do physical therapy for a month!!

Dr. Magovern is different than your average orthopedist: he has a great bedside manner, runs on time, tries his hardest to avoid surgery unless absolutely necessary (meaning hes not signing everyone up to pay his bills, whether a patient needs it or not) and is an excellent educator for his patient and their families. I have the privilege of not only being his patient, but working at one one of the hospitals where he treats patients. Never have I seen a post operative complication with his work, his patients are discharged home on time and his work is flawless. I can say without hesitation that there isnt a more qualified surgeon to treat myself or my children.

Dr. Magovern is simply the best in shoulder and elbow trauma.  He is very good surgeon and very knowledgeable in his field. After an accident, he was able to repair my elbow which broke in multiple spots and administer care to my shoulder.  I will be forever grateful that he was able to put me back together again, and for the care he provides.  I would recommend him to everyone. He is an excellent doctor!
