If you like being talked to in a condescending way...hes your guy. If you like being told that hes a doctor and your not so you should really listen to what he says...hes your guy. If you have real pain that effects your day to day life and looking for a professional to help...not your guy. But...he will definitely prescribe drugs and physical therapy and leave you with more questions than answers and god forbid you ask what next steps may be if the prescribed therapy doesnt work...then hell tell you hes not a mind reader. Retirement is what Id prescribe for him.
I have had two successful surgeries by Dr.Loddengaard however this review is for his secretary Charity who is the most professional medical assistant I have ever worked with. She is extremely informative, prompt and caring and gifted at her job. I have called to ask her questions up to three years post surgery and she is continuously professional. The kind of assistants doctors choose to have truly does affect the quality of your care . Thanks Charity, Alicia K
This man told my mother who needs emergent spine surgery for stabilization and decompression of a malignant tumor that she will not need surgery and can return to clinic in a couple weeks. Do not trust his medical judgment!!!!!
Do not go to this person for help. He did a spinal procedure on my mother. We understood that the surgery may or may not help. The problem with him and is staff is the follow up after the surgery. His secretary was rude and acted like it was a bother to follow up with us. He then refused to see my mother ( or the secretary ) refused to schedule. To me this means that either the staff was horrible or that the Doctor is trying was worried that somehow he screwed up. She still has pain and is dealing with is. DO NOT TRUST these people.
Extremely Long Waiting time.Ill prepared or uninformed.I described my symptoms and he had no reply or educated answer, it was like I was talking to a 1styear resident. I took the time to bring MRI images on CD and I had to nearly force him to upload the images. As I predicted, he was even dismissive of them. Then the appointment ended.
Horribly disappointed by the way the staff treated me. My messages were rarely returned. Was having terrible nerve pain and waiting on meds and they told me they had sent it to pharmacy which turned out not to be the case. Then they said that they needed prior authorization through insurance but I checked with my insurance and they never submitted anything. Cant trust anything they say.
Its been almost 2 years since Dr. Loddengaard helped with a nasty herniated disc. I had really bad pain shooting down my leg to my big toe. Couldnt walk or sit. Dr. L ordered MRIs. My disc protrusion was lateral so trickier to get to in surgery. He wasnt rushing for surgery but I was given the bad pain. The pain reduced after surgery and took about two months to be fully gone. I still had some foot drop and nerve tingling and he told me it could take 18 months for the nerve to fully recover and he was right. Ive since heard that the nerve recovery time is often related to how long the nerve was impacted so Im glad I went for the surgery quickly. I didnt have surgical issues. Im back to jogging now so all is well. His office assistant Charity was also very helpful with prescriptions and paperwork.
great hip specialist. he replaced my right hip and did a great job! very little scar, have had no problems.
Dr. Loddengaard was the most professional and knowledgeable Doctor I have come across when it came down to my back. He is not quick to pull the trigger on surgery unless there is no other option. He thoroughly understands the pain I was going through and made me feel at ease throughout the entire process. I never had a problem contacting him with any questions or concerns. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Loddengaard for any spinal issues. I chose him to be my surgeon. He holds high standards and exceeds the expectations of all. Dr. Loddengaard also holds a high reputation at Little Company Of Mary. Do not hesitate to contact him. His assistant Charity is extremely professional and easy to talk to.
I just went through the most horrific back pain. Dr Loddengaard was swift in getting me fixed after seeing a badly ruptured disc impacting the nerve severely in an MRI. I hear he does not rush into surgery unless truly needed so I trusted him thoroughly when he said I needed the surgery right away. As promised I was able to attend a very important convention in Las Vegas just 2 weeks after the surgery! While I am still recovering and doing PT etc., when you consider I was completely incapacitated and had not been able to sit down (or even sleep) for a month ,then just 2 weeks later I was working/walking and attending meetings for 16 hours straight I would say thats pretty good! Hope Ill be back to dancing again in 2 more weeks! I highly recommend this doctor!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
