I arrived here after having a horrible experience at Sutter. All the staff from receptionist, med assistant to the doctor were super nice and helpful. They were super kind and understanding. Sometimes, this is all one needs to turn around a horrible day. Thank you so much. Hope I don't need you but I know where I will be going if I need urgent help.

Waited 2 hours just for them to tell us afterward that they couldn’t help us out and that we should probably go see a different doctor. Would’ve been nice to know that before wasting 2 hours there.

Why do they advertise for Covid testing and then say they are no longer testing.

A great place to waste half of a day waiting for them to tell you there’s nothing they can do after they take your money.

Wait times are ridiculous.

My experience with EGUC was very mixed but please read all the way through for why I'm ranking them so highly despite my initial difficulties. It seems like Covid and the logistics of how to deal with patients showing some of its symptoms have led to some very frustrating logistical problems that aren't efficiently taken care of.Consider that I showed up late in the afternoon, filled out my form and had to wait for roughly an hour only to be told to come back the next day because I had Covid symptoms and hadn't gotten any test results back and they have no night time swabbers to so a quick test at the Center itself. But I filled out the form informing them of my symptoms and that I hadn't gotten any test results. Why didn't they just tell me upfront that I wouldn't be able to be seen because of my symptoms? Why did it take an hour? Or why not have a note on the front door explaining you can't be treated if you have any of the Covid symptoms without first getting a negative test from them? It could save so much time and frustration.Next morning I go, knowing now that they'll have to test me. But I still had to wait a full hour before they addressed my issue. I already knew I had to be tested and had my paperwork from the previous night with me. Everyone else was filling out theirs. Why didn't they tell me to wait outside? Instead they had me wait for an hour before looking over my data only to tell me I'd been scheduled for a test but due to my symptoms I wasn't allowed to be in their office. But...if it's so risky why did it take an hour to find out? By the way a woman from the night before also showed up the next morning. Unlike myself, she had a negative Covid test but they still made her wait longer than me (she arrived a few minutes after I did the first night and was still there when I was initially sent home) only to tell her they need to do an in-house test. It just seems profoundly inefficient and frustrating!!Despite this awful, confusing system, once I actually received care it was amazing. The nurse was pleasant enough but my doctor knocked it out of the park. Listened patiently to all my various symptoms, knew what was wrong and was happy to answer all my questions and provide a note for work. Overall I want to say that the care once you get admitted is very satisfactory, I just wish the system was more streamlined and made more sense. I'm sure it's a waste of everyone's time, so maybe finding an administrator who can better manage the initial paperwork would be helpful.It is Urgent Care so of course, expect to be waiting a while. I just wish you knew what you were waiting for.

This is the dirtiest medical facility I've ever visited. I refused service after being taken to an exam room that had dried blood or maybe feces on the floor and exam table. If they are that negligent about the facility itself, don't hold out hope that they will do what it takes to be clean and safe with your health.

Insurance fraudsters! They billed my insurance and my insurance paid them. I paid my portion too, and now they’ve sent me to collections. I’ve contacted them 4 times to sort it out and they always say they see the insurance payment and will apply it to clear my balance.

I will do that again! So much better than the ER! In and out much quicker! I was treated kindly, by all that helped me!

Their mantra on their website is “The Doctor Will See You Now” I call B.S. because they turned away my 7 month old who was having a life-threatening allergic reaction. We came here in a hurry at 7:00pm because our baby had a serious rash from head to toe that was getting worse. They tell us it’s going to be a short wait, so we wait in the lobby. After 90 minutes of waiting, they said that because our baby had a runny nose (teething) he needs to take a COVID test. We think it’s unnecessary because he’s just teething but apprehensively oblige. After that, they tell us that they won’t be able to see us until the following day because there’s no one to test the swabs. Rather than waiting the next day, we went to the ER and are glad we did as it saved his life. This is completely unacceptable for a medical facility to turn someone away having a serious allergic reaction. My son and I sat in a waiting room for 90 minutes as his reaction continued to worsen, and then they send us on our way. As an Elk Grove native, I will make it my personal mission to tell everyone about my AWFUL experience with Elk Grove Urgent care. I will be sharing on Facebook, Google, Yelp and every other site.
