List of Amy Kakimoto's Reviews
First time meeting her after complaining of left side leg pain and debilitation, she had me go home, told me I probably had Covid and that I looked seriously Ill and to go home and rest. Really? What doctor tells this to a patient? Blood work ordered but no focus on my leg pain. No X-ray or MRI offered. She said if I still felt sick to go to ER? Second time meeting with her. She was once again dismissive, somewhat rude, showing no empathy or compassion. I felt like I was taking up her time in her busy day. She never was able to help me (with pain in left leg, hip area). She took all I said personally and defensive. Aren't doctors supposed to be trained or educated to deal with patients under pain? Again, No regard to pain I was having. No X-ray or MRI was offered. I had to ask for a physical therapy referral via online. I felt like I was diagnosing myself. She told me she didn't need new patients if I left and that she was one of the partners. Wow. Doctors need CARE model training or a refresher course if they want to keep their patients. She had the worst medical professional manners. Her words were just plain mean. No attempt on her part to create a relationship with a new patient. Very disappointing.
Dr. Kakimoto is EXCEPTIONAL! Now in my 50's, I've never had another doctor who has even come close to her level of care, attention, professionalism, dedication, kindness and expertise in her field. I've seen Dr. Kakimoto for over 10 years, and she always takes the time to listen to my concerns and answer all my questions. I will be forever grateful to Dr. Kakimoto as she saved my life and I'm now on the road to recovery because of her. Dr. Kakimoto is truly outstanding, and I highly recommend her.
She was my primary doctor for years, unfortunately I have to change the health insurance and I lose her care I missed her so much she is super
I've been going to Dr. Kakimoto for 8 years. She is very thorough, always takes time to listen, and always follows up with any necessary referrals. I never enjoyed going to the doctor before meeting Dr. Kakimoto. I trust her opinion completely. It's been tough over the years to get an appointment with her, but she is very quick to respond to patient portal questions.
I saw Dr K for about 3 years. Communication was always difficult. Lab results would go to the portal with no phone call. So if you’re not going in the portal all the time you’re not getting your health information on time. There’s little follow-up when you email concerns through the portal. Billing problems pretty much every time I went. No coordination with the ER if I ended up there (allergic reactions to a medication she prescribed), but the most alarming part of my experience is her lack of understanding of the impact of mental health (like anxiety) on other underlying health conditions. And she lacks compassion in that regard. Just complete disregard. Ended up being the work medical experience of my life.
I’ve seen Dr. Kakimoto as my general physician for 7 years. She’s personable, remembers details of my care, and very thorough. I can always count on her to give me an honest assessment. She doesn’t just look at numbers and test results, she evaluates you as a whole person. I trust her with anything from a work out injury to managing asthma. If I can’t get in touch with her, one of her assistants always responds back to me by the end of the day. I highly recommend Dr. Kakimoto.
She saved my life. Dr Kakimoto s consistent investigation and concern for my health led to an early cancer diagnosis which I am now cured of. I had no outward signs or symptoms of the cancer just a family history. She ran test other reputable doctors would not. I am forever thankful to Dr Kakimoto.
Dr. Kakimoto is wonderful, she listens carefully, is non judging, empathetic, and very present. She is no doubt a caring Doctor. I very much recommend her!
I threw my back out and needed to see someone for the pain. The office said they could give me an appointment in 4 days. Seriously? Dr. Kakimoto is impossible to see but even getting in to see a resident physician is impossible. This office seemingly does not care about the urgency of your issues. Additionally, even with an appointment, I still had to wait almost an hour in the waiting room to see someone. I would not recommend them.
Dr. Kakimoto is unlike any other doctor I have had in my 54 years on the planet. Not only is she brilliant, which of course we all hope for in our physician, but she is also kind, thoughtful, engaged and invested.Dr. Kakimoto takes her time and never leaves me feeling rushed. I always feel valued and cared for when I see Dr. Kakimoto. She walked me though a complicated year of breast cancer treatment and I couldn't have done it without her. I would recommend her to anyone near and dear to me.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
