List of Christine Clotfelter's Reviews
I chose Dr. Clotfelter because she listed herself as a D.O. That may be her education but she definitely does not treat the body as a whole. She listens compassionately but has no input or ideas for treatment. I have several autoimmune conditions which require ideas and input and a holistic line of thought. After the first appointment I was pawned off to a PA and never saw Dr. Clotfelter again. I was told to undergo blood tests. The results were concerning but all I got was a phone call from a PA to go over the results. I was unable to get the call so I called back and and was told the PA was busy so I was put through to the assistant to the PA who could not answer any of my questions. I have switched doctors and within the first five minutes I could tell my treatment was going to be way above what I received from Dr. Clotefelter. If you are looking for a DO or even a doctor who will spend time with you, you will be disappointed.
Dr. Clotfelter is by far one of the best physicians I have ever seen! She is so patient, knowledgeable, kind and considerate. She is thorough and takes a holistic view of my healthcare. I had transferred to another doctor two years ago at the behest of my husband because he thought this other doctor was better equipped to handle my (very minor) medical issues. Though the other doctor is also knowledgeable, I found her to be cold, aloof and not easy to talk with. This year after transferring our youngest daughter to Dr. Clotfelter from the pediatrician as she aged out, I was reminded of why I liked Dr. C. as soon as I met her! She was just as wonderful to my daughter and my daughter was impressed! I will definitely be transfering my care back to Dr. Clotfelter!
Who gave this place two stars?!? Because whoever that person is clearly has the misfortune of being completely clueless when it comes to physicians who are competent, compassionate, educated, and parent-oriented. Dr. Clotfelter has literally changed my life, and is one of the main reasons I trust Doctors of Osteopathy infinitely more than an average PA or MD. Two of my main providers are D.O.s, and they've both effectively changed and saved my life in the way they treat the whole human being by symptoms, not just through a series of meds listed under the ICD code for your medical issue. I was sad for me (because I'm a selfish thing!) but happy for Dr. C when she took her leave to have her baby, because if her parenting is anything close to her practice of medicine, then I would like her to adopt me! In all seriousness, Dr. C may sometimes take a bit to see patients, but if that patient is me, I'm always grateful she goes above and beyond to deliver comprehensive appointments, actually tied the time to listen to me, as a human being, seeks whole-person treatment (holistic treatment is kind of what DOs are known best for, and would you rather have part of you treated, or your entire body considered when being evaluated?). It's been those times when I've needed to cry in frustration as we seek answers for my complicated medical case together that I've been most grateful to have her in my life, because I'm not sure if I will ever have (I never have before) a doctor like Christine Clotfelter, D.O. Not only is she compassionate and easy to talk to, non-judgmental and understands that sometimes human beings don't fit into the square box of standardized medicine protocols, her entire staff are just as professional, caring, patient -oriented, and respectful of every one of their patients. I've got more issues than People Magazine, and I have had nothing but the utmost professionalism, kindness, and actually beneficial treatment from Dr. Clotfelter and her entire staff. From check in to checkup yo check out, you won't find another practice in this entire county more dedicated to their patients than this medical group. I am lucky I get to be a patient here, and Dr. Clotfelter, her office and medical staff, and referrals department are all the best of the absolute best in medical integrity and dignity afforded to their patients. Anyone who thinks differently can come live in the body i had before I started seeing Dr. C. You wouldn't last a week...and I am utterly grateful for her thoughtful and caring approach to medicine.
Professional, respectful, AND makes me feel comfortable and cared for both medically and mentally. I recommend her to everyone. Plus, her office staff are also genuinely friendly and empathetic.
Dr. Clotfelter has been my doctor for many years. She is compassionate, honest, caring and really listened to her clients. She has helped me through some difficult times, and she has never once given up on helping me. She is truly the best doctor I have ever experienced in my adult life. She is truly amazing.
Dr. Clotfelter is an amazing doctor in every way. Warm, caring and professional, she always takes the time to carefully listen to patients issues and offers support as well as sound medical advice and treatment options. The office runs so efficiently and everyone there go the extra mile to do whatever it takes to assure you receive the best medical care and advice possible. I was a patient of her predecessor, Dr. Quigley and when Dr. Clotfelter took over for him I received the same excellent, personal care I always found at that office. Recently I required a specialized medicine and Dr. Clotfelter, Rachel and her entire office worked with my specialist and the insurance company to have it approved. If there were 10 stars that would not be enough to rate this practice!
Unfortunately I cannot recommend NCFMG anymore; their staff is unattentive to requests (in some cases very rude and pompous) and misdiagnosis on serious issues may occur if they do not thoroughly examine you. I am very saddened to give Dr. Clotfelter this review but this feedback is necessary for any positive change at NCFMG. :(
I've been very happy with Dr. Clotfelter. I've found her to be very thorough, patient, compassionate, likable - all the things you want in a doctor. I've never felt rushed or like she didn't show concern for whatever I might be questioning. I'm especially impressed with how efficiently she and her office run. They send my lab work papers in and have me run mammograms or whatever needs to be done before I see her so our time together is very productive. I don't just get a computer automated message telling me my results are normal, we discuss in person during my checkups. It is also really nice to be able to request prescription refills through their office portal thing and I always get a follow up call to let me know it is done. So nice to not have to make an appointment for every little thing. I highly recommend her.
I did research and seems to have found a new physician as we are new to area. We filled out new patient paperwork for my family and personally dropped them off completed to the receptionist. We were told, "we I'll have this in the system in a few days". No big deal as we didn't have an urgent health matter. That was two months ago. I called to schedule annual physical exams. They had no records. When I spoke to supervisor, she didn't even understand what PII was... We found a more professional office who takes privacy seriously - enough to know what Personally Identifiable Information means and how to protect it. I'm sure the DO is good...but I'd review the office staff. Just my two cents
Dr. Clotfelter is knowledgeable, trustworthy and a great human being. She advised several life changes that have improved my health greatly and managed to treat a common condition that eluded other doctors. She listens to the patient concerns and offers diverse treatment options including good health advice. You would be hard pressed to find a better family medicine practitioner in southern California. Thank you Dr. Clotfelter!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
