List of Frank A Scotti's Reviews
I like Dr Scotti and think he is a good doctor. I've been going to him for years but his practice has been taken over by a large group and service has declined horribly. All the old staff has left and now whenever I've been there, there is at least a 30 minute wait if not longer. When I used to have an appointment with Dr. Scotti, he would include my eyeglass prescription. Now you have to make another appointment to come back and some else does your refractions. Never going back!
Dr Scotti took the time needed to be thorough and my husband and I so appreciated his knowledge and time. Even after hours if you are there he will make sure your treatment is done. If he sees a problem he doesn't just reschedule you to come back he takes his time with you and completes his appointment. He saved my vision in my eye and saved my husband glaucoma issue. His staff are polite and caring and this is from our recent visits .He is tops in our opinion. Blessed to have him as our doctor.
I had 20/20 vision after my cataract surgery. He has been conscientious in caring for my eyes and I found the staff friendly and helpful.
Less than ideal bedside manner. I have recurring dry eye and corneal erosion. The doctor went directly into his pitch for expensive and no doubt very profitable surgery. Once he saw that I was not interested, the visit was over. I found a qualified ophthalmologist in La Jolla that was able to successfully treat me with medication.

Dr Scotti is fantastic! Great doctor who really cares about his patients. So thankful I found him!
I was a patient of Dr. Scotti for over 15 years. Since the transfer to Acuity Eye Group the service has gone from a 10 to ZERO. My Annual exam and peripheral field test took hours, his assistants were arguing in the hallway over the some other Dr taking the rooms. Kicked me out of my room left me in the waiting room for a while, I finally get into a room again and was told Dr Scotti would be with me next. After an hour I was still waiting. Ended up leaving without discussing my test results. Never saw Dr. Scotti. I called the next day and talked to the office manager Linda who mailed my test results but when I received the information it was missing my Eye glass prescription. I called again a week later and was told Linda is no longer with them. I talked to the new office manager Nicole who told me they didn't save my eye prescription into my chart. I watched the assistant add it to my chart when I completed the test and we discussed the fact that my RX hadn't changed much. Nicole proceeded to tell me I would need to schedule another appointment to receive my eye glass RX. So disappointed in the service. It shouldn't take 3 appointment to get an annual exam and Eye Glass prescription.
After seeing Dr. Scotti for almost four years I had several very disappointing experiences the last two times I visited. On one visit he misdiagnosed my Glaucoma. The error was supposedly caught by an intern. He gave me new drops and a new appointment. After waiting an hour I had to leave his office after arriving on time. I am about to run out of drops, could damage my eyes if I do and after contacting CVS and having them contact his office he as not filled my prescription for the drops I am about to run out of. Very disappointing to say the least. Seems more interested in churning patients than properly scheduling appointments.
His time is much more important than your time. It's 3:30 and I still haven't been seen for my 2:15 appt. I asked but they wouldn't tell me how long I would have to wait. I'm paid by the hour and missing work and money to sit here waiting.
Dr. Scotti removed cataracts from both of my eyes and he did an awesome job! I am very satisfied with his skill! The office personnel are very nice! He is a great eye doctor!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
