I had hammer toe and bunion surgery about 10 years ago performed by another podiatrist. Unfortunately, the insoles I was prescribed after the surgeries were made using a not very accurate casting method. As a result, I started developing lower back pain, knew pain, leg pain, ankle and heal pain. By the time I consulted Dr. Gilles I was having to take Ibuprofen on regular basis to cope with the pain, particularly the lower back pain. Dr. Gilles took the time to listen to my medical history. He recommended a new set of insoles. He used a different casting method than my prior Podiatrist. The new insoles had to be adjusted once since I was still having some heal pain. After the adjustment, all of the pain was gone. It is incredible. Before consulting with Dr. Gilles I was even considering seeing a knee and back specialist. The pain is gone now. I wish I would have found Dr. Gilles years ago, I would have save so many years of unnecessary pain. Thank you Dr. Gilles!!

Had an appointment with Dr Carriero, 1) The appointment confirmation said to arrive a half hour early to fill out new patient forms, and when I arrived no one was there and I waited alone for 30 min in the waiting room. 2) He tried to pawn me off onto another doctor, sending in someone else I knew nothing about. 3) Prescribed steroids without discussing side affects and possible medical issues. I tried to ask questions, but was rushed out. Ended up having severe side effects. 4) When I call asking for visit documentation, the front desk women Jessica was absolutely hostile as if it wasn't her job. Bottom line: go anywhere else

Dr Louis Gilles, truly the best foot Physician. Caring, kind and a MD specialist that will go above and beyong to help with the issue. Thank you Dr. Gilles for continuing to take good care of my foot!!!

Dr. Gilles and the other doctors at the office are awesome! This has been one of the best experiences I've had going to the doctor. Dr. Gilles and his associates spent time with telling me my issues with the injury I have in my foot and the all the possible options. One thing I about Dr. Gilles is that he wants to see if I can get away with not having surgery. Also his front office staff are all courteous and the wait time was next to none. They honor your time and make the process of seeing the doctor very easy. Overall I can't say enough good things about this office. Great job and see you soon! Amir

Dr Gilles and his associate diagnosed my foot problem right away and were very caring and gentle. Even the injection that I needed was almost painless. I would definitely go back.

This was my first visit with Dr. Gilles and I was impressed. He was immediately engaging and friendly and genuinely cared about me and my issue. Even though he poked and prodded at my big toe and hurt me (maybe I’m a baby), I couldn’t be upset with him because he was so darn enjoyable. Dr Shaw (I hope I have that right) was also present and he was just as wonderful. Not that I hope to have any other foot or ankle issues, but if I do... this is where you’ll find me. Office staff was also wonderful. Thanks for a great experience.

I really liked Dr. Gilles style. He took his time to explain everything with me and come up with a good plan to help me feel better. I really appreciate that he gave me options of items that I could buy to help me instead of selling me products that he could profit off of.

Great experience! Dr. And staff were thorough and professional. I had fungus on my nail and it was an easy fix. Wish I would have went earlier for treatment and suffered less! Highly recommend Dr. Gilles.

This Dr. allowed me to walk again. Two incompetant DPM in Encinitas would not even x-ray or MRI my left foot. Just go home and stretch--for 2 years. Sold these useless toe-pads to comfort the nueroma I had. Instead of getting to the root of the problem they just covered it up. Now come Dr. Carriero: Man is a genius. Did the MRI and could not believe what he saw. Bones not attached. Metatarsalgia--serious. Could not walk in Europe in 2016 --And stretching did not do anything to relieve the PAIN. Dr. Hatfield is useless and very incompetent. Just took the insurance money and did nothing..... Back to Dr. C: Operated on foot 90 plus minutes, inserted two plates a couple of screws (not from Home Depot), but no pain other than swollen foot for 10 weeks. Cared about his patient. Called several times after surgery to see if I was OK. Did follow ups--and 10 weeks in a wheel chair told me to take off the boot and walk 10 feet--I did for the 1st time without pain. Of course there were tears. This guy deserves 25 stars. Little sore after 1.5 years but I can climb ladders and stairs again. Booking trip to Germany for 2017 Christmas markets.
