This review is long overdue. Dr. Cap is an absolute gem-there is NO other doctor I would have rather have caring for me throughout both of my pregnancies. Choosing him was one of the best decisions I made. I love his vibe-warm, confident, and relaxed. Who wouldn't want that when they are growing a human and giving birth?! My two babies are the greatest gifts in the world and I am so honored that Cap is part of their stories. Angie and staff are exemplary as well-I always felt secure and welcome. 10/10 all around!

I moved to CA at 33 weeks pregnant and was very stressed about finding a new OBGYN. Several local moms had recommended Dr Cap and I'm so glad they did. He is incredible. Very friendly, listens to his patients, is calming and I felt in great hands. Delivery went great and he came to check in the next day. I'll continue going to him for GYN needs and highly recommend.

I was a very nervous first time mama. Throughout my pregnancy I was told by everyone I knew that I would never be able to deliver the baby and that I'd need a c section because of my size. I'm very petite and a size 00. I had so much fear and anxiety around labor and pregnancy. I went to a few doctors who just didn't align before finding Dr. Cap, Anjie, and the team. He was always on time and got us in and out of our appointments. It felt like a family from the moment we walked in. We're local Encinitas and I was just over the moon with the community he's built from prenatal and postnatal yoga, chiropractic, and classes. I really appreciate all that he's built. My baby was delivered, with Dr Caps re assurance- without needing a c section. It was such a beautiful birthing experience. So happy we found Dr Cap.

Was pretty reluctant to leave this review because Dr. Cap has many positive reviews and what almost seems like a “following” of very happy moms. With that being said my husband and I both left feeling SUPER dismissed. I get it we are 29/30 years old and only had been trying for 5 months but I brought in ultrasound images that showed something was off and have been having lots of bleeding - outside of my cycle and was looking for a second opinion- which I tried to express multiple times. 1. He told me my issues I was telling him about weren’t issues- perhaps a little odd but not issues. 2. He didn’t even look at the ultrasound which I had gone through the hassle of having another office mail them - which a fertility specialist today confirmed that there is in fact abnormalities 3. He left us with the advice to “go home, get drunk and have a baby”. Totally ignoring the bleeding- which even if I wasn’t trying to get pregnant is stressful and a nuisance. Pros- the office is very well decorated (I can only imagine what their home is like ) and doesn’t feel sterile or cold at all Again, if you don’t have any issues and are pregnant already I’m sure Dr. Cap and the office would be a fine fit, but if you have any concerns I wouldn’t come here. Note to Dr. Cap: just because a patient is young, the solution isn’t always give it time. Some suggestions as to what we could do about the bleeding would have been helpful as it’s continued to worsen over the last 3 months… which is what brought us to a double board certified OB/GYN and fertility specialist who actually explained things and used some science- not just go home and get drunk.

Dr. Cap went above and beyond our expectations!! He was so patient when my wife was in the hospital and his bedside manner was fantastic. If it wasn't for Dr. Cap, we would've had to go the C Section route. What was important to us was just as important to Dr. Cap. He was nothing short of amazing and it was a safe delivery with Mom and Baby both healthy. I'd also like to give a shout out to the entire team at his office. Everyone was professional, kind and made us feel welcome every time we came in. Thanks again to Dr. Cap and his team! We are so grateful that you were there for us.

I'm truly shocked he has such a following. I'm a very easy going patient and I'm not one to ask a bunch of questions or be that paranoid first time mom. I went to Cap based on recommendations, and he was local. Such a horrible experience looking back and I will not be going back for round 2. For every appointment I showed up early and would wait patiently in the waiting area for 10-15 min. Eventually I'd be led into one of the rooms where I would sit and wait an additional 45 minutes, the longest time I waited over an hour. As if I have nothing else to do. He would saunter in, no apology, never address me by my name, simply say "Hey, how's it going, just making a baby right?" Word for word every time. Absolutely NO bed side manor, never felt like he wanted to get to know us...ever......He schedules way too many patients, your just a number. It got to the point where I would call before hand to see if he was running behind so I could plan accordingly, mind you I have a job. That was not useful and they were kind of put off I would ask. Oh and after all that, he didn't even deliver me, Looking back that's why I went to him because everyone said, "oh you gotta go to him, he makes sure to deliver all his babies". I called it, because it got to a point he was so bad, I knew he'd be out of town and literally only a few appointments left to go, he told me he was going to Greece. It was for the best because I really loved the doctor that covered him and even though I only met him once leading up to my delivery he actually cared and spent time with me ! I'd recommend this guy but he moved to KY. I believe in moving on from things, and I have but I just realized I never did write a review and my goal is to save those patients who may follow the hype. Don't buy into it. I wish I listened to my gut that first appointment. There are so many more talented OB's out there!!!!

Choosing Dr Cap as my OBGYN was one of the best decisions I made for my pregnancy and the birth of my daughter. I am so grateful to him and his team. I switched OBGYNs halfway through my pregnancy, as my previous doctor and I did not see eye to eye about our approach to birth. With Dr Cap, I knew he would advocate to avoid medical interventions unless completely necessary. He trusts in the body to do what it intuitively knows how to do. It was also such a great comfort to know that he would be the one delivering my baby, which is uncommon in the hospital setting. He had a confident and calming presence throughout. I cannot thank him enough.

Best DR ever! Been with him 12 years, he's delivered all three of my babies. I recommend him to anyone and everyone! He has been a blessing to our family.

Stop your search, you made it, you found the provider you need! if i could sing dr caps praises from literal mountaintops i would.. he is so very kind and considerate and really champions you in whatever way you want to have your babies.. and if things don’t go as planned, he takes his time and sits with you (non-emergent “failed”vbac for me- even so i felt so at peace with it bc he sat and worked through my thought process with me and showed me how i did everything possible and it wasn’t anything i could have changed etc etc— truly i would have felt so different if it was anyone else— his kindness and compassion made all the difference in the world) he truly wants you to feel good about any and all decisions being made... i recommend him every single chance i get.. i researched all over SoCal before we got here when i was 37 weeks and he took me on as a patient without question and ugh i could go on forever!! he’s truly the very best! His wife Angie manages the practice and she is just as wonderful! They are all so welcoming and down to earth good people.. I’m praying we are still living here if we have another baby bc i wouldn’t want to have anyone else deliver them!

Dr. Cap deserves 6 stars, honestly. He loves what he does and he brought me and my wife peace of mind during our first pregnancy and birth when nothing else really could. He will not push you into anything you're uncomfortable with but will offer good advice if you want it. To other guys/husbands/fathers out there, I urge you to choose Dr. Cap. You will not regret it.
