Patrick M. Mcginty's Online Review Report Card

While in the emergency room of Scripp's Medical Center for a late night Afib attack in August of 2016, Dr. M'cGinty suggested I start taking a magnesium supplement to help lower my adrenalin. Doing so changed my life. I stopped getting skipped heartbeats on a regular basis and my heart felt much calmer. To this day I feel a much calmer heartbeat. I can't thank him enough.

I saw Dr. McGinty because he was on rounds at Scripps Hospital in Encinitas. HIs calm method of explaining the difficulty that had brought me to the hospital helped me to decide that I did indeed need a pacemaker --- not an easy decision. I will probably continue to see him about my needs.

As an RN I have had to opportunity to work with many physicians over the years. I have referred several people to the practice and Dr. McGinty in particular. I have taken several family members to him as well and now it is my turn. I find him to be a concerned and caring physician that is calm and compasionate, yet very decisive and provides high quality care.

I have been seeing Dr. McGinty for about 1.5 years. He explains everything in a very calm, clear and professional way. I have complete trust in him and would recommend him to my friends and family.

Dr. McGinty performed as well as any of the other numerous cardiologists I have seen. His office administration, however, is deplorable. Every time I called their phone number I reached the Medical Asst answering machine and she never responded to me. He ordered a lipid panel and never provided me with the results- which in this case, were not available online. I called the ans serv to change an appt and they never notified the office. I finally chose a different doctor.

I called to speak to the office manager, she was available. When Amy found out I was a patient, guess what? Laura was no longer available, how strange. When I offered to hold, she let me hold, came back a few minutes later, said she would transfer me, then transferred me to voice mail.
