Did not listen or want to hear of my complicated medical history. Was dismissive, with a vague sarcastic remark thrown in. My first and last visit. I would not take my cat to see him for care. Nurse of 40 years. Obviously the graph showing rating is not accurate. Odd that the other rating I read about him having missed a man's aggressive cancer, posted by the man's daughter, was scrubbed from the reviews.

As a nurse of 40 years, I must say I would not take my cat to see him! My first, and last, visit. Was sarcastic, and disrespectful.. He did not listen, was dismissive, and in a hurry. Did not treat my current symptoms. Doctors who don't listen miss things. I have a complicated medical history. Will be seeking treatment elsewhere for a better quality of care.

I have been a patient of Dr Butler for 8 yrs. I am a professional and have countless doctor and friends in the medical field. I had an enlarged prostate. Wanting to have the least invasive procedure, I had the Eurolift as suggested by Dr. Butler. I was not clearly told of the true efficacy of lack thereof of the procedure for my individual case. $12,000 and 3 yrs later I had to have a more permanent solution. When I returned to have a consultation I was told by Dr. Butler I should have done a "TURP" 5 yrs prior! ( after he collected $12000 for Eurolift! When I asked him about getting several other professional opinions on this procedure he was both reluctant and seemed insecure. He scheduled me to have the TURP several days later. Fortunately, I was able to visit a top urologist- ( professor) At UCSD who patiently took time to explain that the TURP was not as precise as GREEN LIGHT LASER and could have side effects: ED, incontinence, and other complications. ( Dr Butler did not see the Green light laser as a valid option. He also told me he had to remove the clips from the eurolift! ( something Dr Butler never suggested) Two years later I have had 100% success with NO SIDE EFFECTS! It's like I am 35 yrs old! I have spoken to several friends having undergone the TURP - side effects included incontinence and other terrible complications. Future patients: Do your due diligence! It's your body, get 2-3 other professional opinions. The consequences of the wrong procedure and using a less informed doctor could adversely affect you for the REST of your life!!
