I have nothing but very positive comments and praise for this brilliant compassionate doctor. He started working with me in August of 2019, and I truly feel like he and his assistants are part of my family. He is always available, as is his staff. I am grateful to have found such a great doctor for my rather serious health issues.

Dr Makani is a thorough, caring, exceptionally skilled pulmonologist, who truly cares about and goes above and beyond for his patients. Not only was Dr. Makani meticulous in his search for an exact diagnosis for my husbands pulmonary issues, but he followed a careful testing and monitoring schedule as we sought that diagnosis.. Though I am not Dr. Makani’s patient, this kind physician took the time to answer my questions about my husbands treatment and never neglected to inquire on how I was doing as well Going forward we know Dr. Makani will continue to be a trusted member of my husband’s care team.

After 13 years of experiencing Dr Makani's expertise, I must say beyond the shadow of a doubt he's the most accomplished pulmonary doctor in all of San Diego county. No one comes close. Hippie Wisdom(aka billy Ray) says Rock on Dr Makani, Rock On!!! He's one of the nicest doctors I've ever experienced, One Hell of a Man!!!

Could care less about his patients. Excuses and lies are just not acceptable when it pertains to someone’s health. Do not, I repeat, do not use this so called doctor.

Dr. Makani is amazing ! Outstanding bed side manner. Very patient, explains everything in a non condescending manner. He is up to date with the latest treatments. His staff are so patient. They had to put up a lot with my nonsense🤣🤣

Dr Makani is an amazing surgeon, he's kind, professional and really listens to his patients. He's treated me for several years for my Wegener's Granulomatosis and tracheal stenosis. I trust Dr Makani completely & entirely and would recommend him to anyone looking for a pulmonary physician and surgeon!
