List of Scott Mercer Md's Reviews
Hands down the best primary care physician for my family. He has tremendous experience, takes his time, and explains any procedures throughly. I am a health care provider with 25 years experience and know a extraordinary doctor when I see one.
Dr. Scott Mercer is the best! I love the fact that he offers concierge services and is accessible at all times for a busy working professional like myself! It has truly changed my medical care and made it easier for me to tackle issues when they arrive instead of waiting until it was convenient. Top notch doc!
My Husband and I have signed up for Dr Mercer’s concierge service and couldn’t be happier. We appreciate being able to talk with Dr Mercer by phone or email directly. Also the peace of mind that he will meet us at the hospital if needed to help with or faciliate our care.
Now during the COVID, he abandoned my 98 year old mother. She has a chest cold, he perscibed doubling up on musinex and take zinc!!
Excellent, wise and understanding doctor with an amazing team of nurses and super helpful reception staff. A friend highly recommended dr Mercer and I would definitely do the same. They're super nice about Last minute scheduling and make efforts to get you seen by the doctor even when at high volume (is during flu season/world health crisis: Global pandemic) .Definitely highly recommend this practice
This doctor is truly extraordinary! I have been going to Dr. Mercer for more than 20 years. He is the ultimate family doctor. He remembers important details about my health history from the beginning (without peeking at my folder). He's friendly and he takes the time to ask a bunch of questions related to your health. I've never felt rushed out of his office. He works to understand all of the factors that might be affecting your health. He's great at putting together all of the clues that caused your sickness and he happily provides suggestions for preventing illness. He also keeps up with the latest medical science innovations and he shares that information. I owe my good health to Dr. Mercer's caring approach, excellent diagnostic skills and customized advice to me for living a healthy lifestyle. His nurses and office team are really professional and helpful, too. What more could you ask for?
I am surprised to see the one star reviews but after reading them can say with 100% certainty they are fabrications (because they have never actually met Dr. Mercer) or disgruntled because of some issue that has nothing to do with Dr. Mercer. I noticed two of the one star reviews are on the same date. Interesting.......Perhaps one disgruntled patient enlisted the help of a friend who is on yelp to further assault the integrity of the Dr.I honestly have never met a Dr. that takes more time with his patients (which is why he sometimes runs late...ask the nurses), tries very hard to determine what is wrong with you and the correct course of treatment, and is very caring. Whoever said he didn't look them in the eye is clearly fibbing. He is so personable and takes a lot of time, looks you in the eye, and listens patiently while you describe your problem. Every person who I have referred to him has gotten back to me to say how happy they are with him. Believe me, I don't recommend easily. But with him I have never feared blow back for the recommendation. He is a very caring doctor. And polite. My guess is the people who reviewed badly probably had a bad experience with either the front desk or insurance issues. But claiming Dr Mercer rushes any patients or is rude or angry is preposterous. hes like a big teddy bear. Hes always smiling and always glad to see you.
I want to start by saying that I think Dr Mercer is an excellent physician. When I originally was in the market to find a new Doc (approximately 2 years ago)I spent months researching who I thought would be the perfect fit, & I've got to say Mercer didn't disappoint. This week I called the office requesting that they call the lab to call in an order for a specific kind of blood test. An easy request & one that since I have regular visits to the office shouldn't have required yet another visit to see the Doctor. They however said I needed to come in for a visit in order for them to honor my request. An appointment was made, I arrived at the office, was put in a room only to be told that a different doctor, one whom I've never seen or heard of would be in to see me. When I asked what was going on I was passed on to another nurse who informed me that Dr. Mercer had switched to an executive practice & was no longer taking insurance. While this is obviously his prerogative the entirety of the experience felt misleading. I'm clear that an office visit was unnecessary, but regardless I should have been informed that the doctor that I expected to see was no longer available to non-cash paying patients. To not give me the information beforehand & therefore a choice in the matter felt like a manipulative ploy to pass me off without any say. Dr Mercer, I wish you well in this new endeavor & suggest you train your staff to not make your insurance carrying patients feel like irrelevant cattle being shuttled around.
This is the best Dr ever
I have had nothing but positive experiences at this office! Love the staff. Dr Mercer truly cares about his patients.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
