Visit 320 building suite 310 for an ultrasound today Karen acknowledge me by name as soon as I walked in and today was my first day meeting her I was properly greeted and welcomed.I was even on water to offered a water bottle at room temperature which is everything for a mother at 8 months. My ultrasound tech Brenda led me to a nice clean room she didn't press down hard on my stomach and made sure I was comfortable during the whole process. You can tell Brenda and Karen really are passionate and go over and beyond . A great visit to remember for sure.
Hospitality was great. the only thing was that ythe gave me an old yellow compass card that does not work on the bus now in days . I went back and told them I needed the purple compass card PRONTO, and they said this one would work. well guess what, it does not. have a blessed and happy new year.
I came here for my vaccine and had a wonderful experience. I was nervous about the needle and they made me feel at ease. There was music playing to boost morale, and everyone I spoke to was so kind. I feel grateful to be a Scripps patient.
I don’t plan on delivering my next baby here. After delivering my son pre term, being turned away for “not being in labor” when I was and then being told by nurses they needed the room I was in for other people in labor it has left a bad taste in my mouth. Then to continue to be treated by scripps no different after that experience alone I have lost all trust in this place. Please go somewhere else to deliver. They won’t take you seriously no matter how early in pregnancy you are.i should probably also mention how I was struggling walking into the hospital and was offered no assistance as nurses stared at me while I walked by.This is just my labor and delivery experience with scripps Encinitas I felt was important to share.
They do not make pricing for common services public. Various other hospitals in the area do. They are not compliant with the law requiring this information be made public.
Heartfelt thank you to the nurses and doctors at the Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas. You not only took excellent care of my mother but you were updating the family daily on her status and progress. Excellent, highly competent and compassionate care. Thank you!
Website check in is a Joke.
I was admitted for one week, they were so nice, the nurses were amazing specially Caroline she was so nurturing and caring. I was going through a hard time but they made everything so much easier! I deeply appreciate what they did for me. Having no family in here, I felt welcomed and cared.
horrific
Outrageous markups on their services - 575% to 675%. Patients, beware.
I understand they are busy, but they did not help my son at all and admin people were rude and insensitive! They better not send him a bill for non service!!! Mad and very disappointed!!!
While I am extremely satisfied with my Doctors and medical staff at Scripps. The back office services ( scheduling , billing, office staff and all back office support services are at best primitive, and staff are not fully trained. Couple of example: I am also painting with Stanford Hospital (Northern California). They faxed in my order the first two times I called to schedule, they could not even find the order. Talked to Stanford and they provided details and proof of fax delivery. When I called for the third time, "Jun" found the order and scheduled me for the required test.the Billing Dept errors are unbeliveable. submitting bills with name error Error and stating the insurance did not paid. I have to get involve and talk to multiple billing team members for correction. Note that every time yo call billing you are on hold for very very long time. Horrible!
very sad to see that the reviews continue to be poor. I had hoped with then new bldg/additions that it would be less crowded/ more efficient. Several yrs ago I had a TKR there. The day after surgery the OT didnt belt me when walking me and he dropped me - landed on my new knee! Several yrs later, my husband was taken in from Scripps Urgent Care/Oceanside with a possible heart attack. Kept him for 3 days and could find nothing wrong. HMM- went to different Drs (Palomar) and discovered he needed 2 stents due to blocked arteries. When they contacted Scripps - the Drs comment was 'I missed that.' Although my Drs are at Scripps Encinitas - I would NEVER go back to that hospital! I did go to Scripps Green - it was fabulous! Pls -save the comments re how sorry you are for treatment/ contact you to give more info. The issues are chronic and have continued for yrs.
My husband was taken there by ambulance, on oxygen, then after we arrived at the hospital a nurse came out and yelled at the ambulance drivers because she said they had no room. Then they put him in a room and forgot him! Without oxygen! He almost died! I would rather die at home than depend on them!
I was born hear so umm so have a good day
Maybe having a baby at Scripps Encinitas might be a divine experience, but this hospital and staff was THE WORST that I have ever encountered.I was in the hospital three days and I was rarely spoken to. The first day, I asked for something to drink and a meal but they stated they were lost because I had been moved. The second day, again, no beverages and no meals. The third day, again, nothing, absolutely nada, to eat or drink. Also, the nurses were condescending and unkind. And, I am always respectful and kind so it wasn't MY attitude. The hospital was not clean. I was awakened so many times during the night and I did not get any sleep at all. Duh, maybe a little sleep would help a person heal???I discharged even though I should have been sent to rehabilitation. My primary care physician was enraged. I just wanted to get home, have a shower, get some sleep and EAT!!!! I lost 8 pounds, had not slept and was in bad shape. A few caring neighbors helped my back to health. God Bless Josie and Kim, Bobbi and my daughter-in-law Nicole!I have a DNR on my refrigerator and it says: DO NOT TRANSPORT TO ANY SCRIPPS FACILITY. Try Palomar Health and your stay will be 100% better.
I wrote a review, and it seems to have been deleted which only contributes to my suspicion of this extremely shady hospital. After reading other reviews, and thinking of my own experience, I am positive that this hospital is taking advantage of patients and is not a safe place to be. Luckily, I screenshotted my review. Here is what I wrote:(It may be out of order, I’m not sure if google kept it in the order I had it.)
they took away my limbs and they never gave me them back i was supposed to get a surgery for my eye.
I came in with low oxygen. Still waiting outside for an hour to be seen by a dr. This is ridiculousI feel like walk away. I can't believe how bad is service is here.
Ive been to the Emergency room twice In The Last 5 Years. The first visit I had broken my wrist (almost in half) and the treatment and subsequent checkout at 1:30 am was unacceptable. However, my next visit, I was treated very well and received excellent treatment from my nurse (a male) and Dr Green. The kind of treatment if you imagine being the only patient there and they are being graded.
