I was there for a second opinion consultation about a cyst under my right eye, as soon as look at my eyelids asked who did my eyelids surgery not once at least three times I told him that I am here for a cyst under my eye not eyelids he still continued to ask the name of doctor that did my eyelids surgery finally I told him that was the best well known Dr Kikawa oculoplastic surgeon at UC Shirley Eye Institute in La Jolla finally he looked at the cyst and said he can remove it now at his office I ask him how ? He said by an incision from outside of skin i was shocked when he told me that I have already consulted several specialist before him and all told me about a surgery in operating room and biopsy sure enough went back to UC and Dr Kikawa removed the cyst and send it for biopsy, all looks perfect no incision from outside skin looks perfect, do not recommend this doctor at all.

I knew I needed Upper Bilateral Blepharoplasty done because my droopy eyelids were affecting my vision. I had to turn lights on during the daytime because my eyelids were half-closed. I already had the best Ophthalmologist, Dr. James Davies, for my Macular Degeneration and my cataracts and because he recommended Dr. Iyengar I had total confidence that he would be the best. As they say, "the Best always refers the Best"! I decided that since I needed upper eye surgery I probably should have surgery on the bags underneath my eyes at the same time. I am so happy I had Dr. Iyengar do both upper and lower because the difference is incredible. Dr. Iyengar an amazing surgeon, he actually called me two different times after my surgery to see how I was feeling and if I had any questions for him.....never had a doctor do that and I have had several surgeries in my life! Not only did he fix my eyelids but taking out the bags underneath my eyes also made a huge improvement!

Dr. Iyengar is my medical hero! My first experience with him was for eyelid surgery, recommended by my ophthalmologist. I was referred to Dr. Iyengar by my primary care physician, though others were qualified within her hospital system. I hoped it would be covered by insurance. Upon meeting Dr. Iyengar and learning of his global humanitarian work teaching advanced surgical procedures and how highly regarded he is with other healthcare professionals, I gladly self-paid. Not only am I thrilled with the results, but this month, when I was in a harrowing bike accident, I immediately turned to him for help. The face laceration near my eye needed stitches. He wasted no time and stitched me right up! He also calmed my nerves which were frayed from losing consciousness and being in shock. He streamlined the process of other medical care by forwarding my records to a colleague who awaited our arrival at Urgent Care. While large hospital systems have their benefits, I would like to give a shout out to independent providers like Dr. Iyengar. I would shout it from the rooftops, but I just can’t afford another fall. Dr. Iyengar did a fantastic job on my lower lid blepharoplasty. After being injured from a steroid injection to treat a chalazion by another physician, I went to several other physicians who inspected, tested and did not help in the slightest. Frustrated and disappointed I searched for the best in the business and found Dr. Iyengar. After travelling across the country to meet with him, he assured me he could take care of the situation easily. I booked a surgery with him and a few weeks later when it came time for surgery he and the team were great. A few weeks after the surgery the swelling and bruising went away and I looked like my old self again. I would highly recommend Dr. Iyengar and for any patients looking to just get the problem fixed and not go through the time, effort, frustration, and spending money on physicians who just treat you like an ATM, give Dr. Iyengar a call for a consultation, you will be glad you did and more than happy with the results. Dr. Lyengar, provided excellent service in prior consultation, during the procedure of upper and lower blepharoplasty, and postoperative. The recovery was fast and the results were phenomenal. I strongly recommend Dr. Lyengar!

I look like myself again! This is what I looked like ten years ago. I can’t say enough good things about what an incredible doctor and artist Dr. Iyengar is. I felt so relaxed throughout the process knowing I was in the very best hands. I got my lower eyelids done and within a week there was practically no swelling. I never did bruise. Dr. Iyengar was recommended by my Ophthalmologist to correct the saggy eye lids. I was not disappointed in the results. From beginning to end, had great care by the Doctor and his staff. Both eye lids match, look better than before, and my eye sight is greatly improved. Dr. Iyengar is both skilled and an artisan as evidenced by my results.

I read a lot for work, and once I hit my mid 40s, not only did my near vision go, but I was having issues with eye watering and a film over my vision. Dr. Iyengar performed a blepharoplasty. The procedure itself was fast and painless. The only part that was hard is that I'm sensitive to adrenaline, and the anesthetic contains adrenaline to stem bleeding. I let the nurse know immediately when I felt the symptoms, and Dr. Iyengar waited until my heart rate settled and the nausea dissipated before starting surgery. The rest went without issue. I looked puffy for about 2 days, and was then able to go about my normal life with some sunglasses to mask the stitches. Those came out 8 days later, and nobody could even tell that I'd had surgery. I didn't know if the blepharoplasty would significantly help my eye issues, but it has! No more watery eyes, no more film. I can now wear reading glasses and read without issue. And I have eyelids again! I look more awake and alert than I have in years!

Had upper blepharoplasty. Eye and lid frozen but did not use any anesthesia so was awake throughout procedure and threw up from nerves, antiseptic smell and smelling cauterization during procedure. Do not recommend being awake for this. 2 weeks out and results are uneven and eyes are droopy on sides. Have requested follow-up consult to discuss correction. I did a lot of research and everybody reported amazing results, which was not my experience. Dr and staff are pleasant.

I was referred to Dr Lyengar because my right eyelid was drooping too low. He recommended surgery. Assured me that insurance would cover it which it did. Surgery went good and my eyelid looks great. I would definitely recommend dr lyengar to family and friends.
