Dr Westermeyer and staff are a class act.His Staff makes you feel like family..always Welcoming a phone call or a physical visit..Dr Westermeyer is incredible.. He helped me Fix another podiatrists error.. very kind and A terrific Dr.. Highly recommended Tammy Crown
He was late for the first two appointments and didn't show up at all for the third. The fourth time he was able to see me after I told the receptionist I was leaving. He made some crappy $500 orthotics that were really uncomfortable and fell apart in a couple months. I went to another Dr. who said he was embarrassed to be in the same profession! He made me some orthotics for half the price and are in great condition 2 years later.
I have been going to Dr. Westermeyer for years. Very skilled and knowledgable. I still wear the custom orthotics he made for me more than 9 years ago and they feel great!
I am so impressed with Dr Westermeyer, he really made me feel comfortable with my procedures (2). I had a Dr cut my main tendon on my foot, which lead to my big toe not being able to move. He took matters in his own hands, took out the screws, then ordered an MRI and confirmed what his experience and expertise knew al along. I'm so grateful and so impressed with him and his staff. I am able to go back to work with new orthotics, and his knowledge. I highly recommend him.Tammy C
I went in to Dr. Westermeyer to have my right foot looked at because several years ago I severely injured it and never ended up getting it checked out. I've went to several foot doctors in the past and they were all essentially worthless either telling me to take some anti-inflammatory medications or trying to sell me their foot insoles which didn't help at all. When i went into Dr. Westermeyer's office the ladies at the front desk were very helpful and within 10 minutes of having Dr. Westermeyer look at my foot he knew exactly what was wrong with it and told me what the process was going to be. I am a veteran so the VA paid for my surgery on my torn ligament, there were many issues trying to get the VA to approve it and Irma who works at the front desk was EXTREMELY helpful and literally waited on the phone for hours calling numerous people in order to ensure that my surgery was approved prior to the actual surgery date. I went it for surgery on February 12th and it is now the night of the 14th and I barely have any foot pain. The surgery went perfectly and I would highly recommend Dr. Westermeyer for any podiatry needs and I am absolutely thrilled to finally have my foot fixed and healing up.
Stay away! The quality of care was marginal at best, he overbilled on office visits, the orthotics were not correct, I still have issue with my foot.
Do not use Dr. Westermeyer. My college age son had sore and numb feet from running. Dr. Westermeyer insisted on using his own orthotics to fix this. But the orthotics were very large and wide and did not fit in the shoe properly. My son said they were “uncomfortable and impractical”. He told the receptionist these would not work and he tried to return them that first day. They would not take them back and Dr. Westermeyer refused to trim them to make them fit in any shoe. They cost $309. My son is a college student and has very little income. He cannot afford to pay for something that he cannot use. He did offer to pay for half of the orthotics or pay their actual cost. But Dr. Westermeyer refused. After awhile, they sent this to collections. I tried to talk to the doctor at his office for “just one minute” and waited four hours in his waiting room. But Dr. Westermeyer snuck out the back door rather than talk to me. This is so unprofessional and no way to run an office.
Do not use Dr. Westermeyer. Here is the issue. Whenever my college age son would run, his feet became sore and numb. Dr. Westermeyer recommended orthotics for him and he insisted on making these orthotics. When my son went to pick them up, Dr. Westermeyer put them in the shoe but did not wait for my son to try them on. My son spoke with the receptionist the day he received the orthotics and told her that they did not fit into any of the athletic shoes that he had brought. Later, my son said that these orthotics were "too wide, uncomfortable and impractical" and he had to buy a larger pair of shoes that fit the orthotics. Even wearing larger shoes, the wide orthotics made the top of the shoe stretch across the shoe box area and the shoe became very tight and cramped over his toes. He asked Dr. Westermeyer to trim the orthotics to fit in the shoe and he declined. Furthermore, whenever my son ran with the orthotics, his feet still hurt and were numb. My son tried to return the orthotics after only wearing them about three times. Because he had to sign a statement saying they were non-returnable, Dr. Westermeyer would not take them back. These orthotics cost $309. There should be some kind of monetary compensation if the orthotics do not fit within the first few weeks. My son is a college student and has very little income. He cannot afford to pay for something that he cannot use. He did offer to pay for half of the orthotics or pay their actual cost. But Dr. Westermeyer refused. I called several times to talk to the doctor but the office would not answer my phone calls and one time, hung up when they saw my phone number. After several months, this bill was sent to a collections agency. I spoke to them and they said to try and work it out with the doctor. Again, I tried calling Dr. Westermeyer and left messages but they were Never returned. Recently, I tried to talk to the doctor at his office. I waited four hours in his waiting room for him to have a minute to see me. By the end of the day, the receptionist informed me that the doctor had snuck out the back door ! This is no way to run an office. My son went to see another podiatrist to get orthotics that fit. He is now wearing them in his running shoes without any numbness or soreness. However, he still had to pay $309 for the original orthotics that never fit from the beginning.
Who the heck doesn't accept Kaiser? "So this would be a cash visit" for surgery...yeah.....no!
Dr. Westermeyer & his staff have been helping me since 2014 when I first found them. He successfully kept me from needing surgery, made me a special orthopedic which allowed me to walk pain free & recommended some special shoes. Dr. Westermeyer is extremely skilled, knowledgeable & I love that he has so much experience that you don't end up going down a path that doesn't work. Dr. Westermeyer is a rare surgeon, whose only interest lies in his patience to see that they walk pain free and he puts together the best plan to achieve that goal! I love my precious Dr. Westermeyer who fixed my foot problems through a successful surgery & I am forever grateful to him & his amazing staff!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
