List of Vishakha V. Gigler's Reviews
Dr Gigler performed a great surgical Mohs procedure surgery my nose. Highly recommended!
I came to see this dermatologist a few years ago for my eczema and when she walked in all she saw was a mole on my back and cut it off without consent for biopsy, I remember almost passing out when she did so, she was so quick to do it, though, that I couldn't even process what was going on. I still remember after all these years, and am still bothered by it. She didn't do anything about my eczema, just the same steroid treatment and scentless lotions/soft soaps.
I'm very peticular about Doctor's. I've been seeing Dr. Gigler for 10+ years. She is an incedible Doctor, very knowledgeable and professional. Just as important though, she is an amazing, kind, and caring human being. Also important is her office staff. They are professional and kind as well. I had to change insurance companies, and dreaded it because that meant she no longer took my insurance. I refused to see anyone else, and now pay out of pocket....thats how wonderful I think she is!
Dr Gigler is the BEST derm in SD! As a very protective dermatologist, I only refer to Dr Gigler when my patients move to SD. You will be in great hands.
Dr. Gigler is very knowledgeable and really takes the time to explain your condition (if any) and give you options. She's not preachy about sun exposure, she just educates and encourages sunscreen protection for your benefit. She's wonderful as is her staff.
My family has been patients of the practice since they opened. Over the last year the practice is shifting to cosmetic procedures over regular patient care. It has put wait times to get an appointment out to 30 days. The administrative staff has become rude over the years. What good are Peer reviews if you can't get in to see the doctor when you need to.
I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Gigler. I have seen her on two different occasions and both times I was thoroughly impressed. She is not just good at what she does, she shows a genuine interest in every aspect of being an outstanding physician. Her personality is warm and caring and her attitude reflects a steadfast commitment to patient advocacy. I can say without hesitation that she is not just the best dermatologist but the best doctor I have ever visited.
I've been seeing Dr. Gigler for some time and have always really liked her. She's very personable, I believe knowledgable, but I think I'm going to look for someone else now. The last couple of times I've seen her, I have felt so rushed in and out I would have thought the building was on fire. Aside from that, it seems to take forever to get in to see her for a yearly exam now. The last one, I had to cancel because of illness, and it took me 6 or 8 months to get another. As I say, I have always liked her, and I'm sorry to feel like I want to look for someone else, because I *do* like her, but I want to have someone who I feel is accessible and makes me feel like I'm important enough to focus on, at least for the time that I'm paying to be there.
seemed very smart, talked over me though
I have had eczema most of my 47 years. Dr, Gigler is the first Dr. to help me get it under control, and with minimal medication. Her bedside manner is to-the-point, yet very caring, and she really takes the time needed to assess and diagnose. I would highly recommend her!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
