List of Encino Hospital Medical Center's Reviews
Very rude front desk help I was there a few days ago and the women was so awful I waited for 4 hours to have blood drawn and a total of 7 hours to see anyone that could tell me I’m ok and I just need to drink more water !!!!! Then went to vslley pres because I knew something was the matter and through labs ( which Encino didn’t do ) I found out I needed antibiotics and was finally out of pain after infection went down. Save time and don’t go to this hospital
I came in because I had really bad sharp pain on my right lower quadrant, found out it was appendicitis. I stayed the night at the ER because they had no room upstairs. But the ER nurses made sure I was the first one in line to go up, which I appreciated.I really want to applaud all the nurses and lab people (ones who took my blood) in operation room, and recovery area. All of them treated me so well because they knew how scared I was to getting my appendix out. Grace in the ER, Ugovi, Michelle (love her so much) in the upstairs area, and all the girls who helped me in the surgery room. I was super nervous for my surgery, but everyone made me so comfortable. Ugovi, my nurse, even said that when I get out when she sees me, that's how I will know I am okay. Lol her shift was over but she still even called the hospital to see if I was doing okay. How nice! The surgery ended successfully. Thank you doctor tanagov! He was super sweet too!
l want to thank you all the ER personel who take an exceptional care of my mom. She fall and broke her hip and ER personel were amazing to take care of her while we had to find a way to transfer her to Irvine. Thank you!
Going to a hospital is never a good experience, but the doctor and nurses here made it less unpleasant. The level of care that I received was excellent and it seemed that they genuinely care about their patients. Hopefully I never need to go to a hospital again, but if I do I will trust this one with my care.
Went to the ER yesterday. Never received a wrist band and didn’t have a call light within reach. Was there for an issue that could’ve been resolved within a few hours but I was there from morning to evening due to the staff not checking in as often as they should’ve. I had to walk up to the nurse station in tears because of the pain I was in after waiting a couple hours for them to get back to me. The ER was pretty empty. Also was never asked if I was hungry, and ignored when I asked for a bite to eat. Staff was pretty rude actually. Felt frustrated at the lack of care while in extreme pain and discomfort. I don’t think I’ll be returning here if I can help it.
Wait time is quite long but once you’re in the doctors and nurses are really nice. Great bedside manner. X-rays are done pretty quickly. Overall positive experience.

Worst hospital ever never wanna bê back here as a patient currently a patient and requested a transfer
Ive been having leg pain my veins are really visible and last week I was having chest painso I called my medi-cal nurse advice line and they advised me to seek medical help within 4 hours. I scheduled an appointment for my doctor but he couldn't see me in time so I came in this emergency room to see what they could tell me about the constricting feeling that doesn't allow me to walk. They moved me to a room then put me on a chair in the middle of all the nurses and staff and the doctor came. Told me to roll up my pant but it was extremely unprofessional because she couldn't even see the problem and I couldn't pull down my pants to show her. She said she didn't see anything and she didn't feel anything and offered me pain medicine. She didn't even give me the pain medicine or ask me any other questions. In fact she spoke to me in a very condescending way. I haven't had the stability to have a primary doctor and she gave me attitude about that too. Made me feel horrible. Dr. Label or Nobel, you're not a compassionate person and I really did not like the way you treated me as a patient. It felt like I was being straight up bullied.
If I could give this ER a zero, I would! I came in with chest pain and extreme high blood pressure last night, and they still made me wait for 2 hours in the waiting room before any nurse talked to me or took any vitals just to make sure I wasn't having a heart attack. Any other ER regardless of how overwhelmed they are would not have taken such a risk with a patient's life. They also told me I had to wait in the waiting room that was beyond capacity and freezing cold and had a patient in there who was coughing every 5 mins - so instead of risking getting Covid, I waited outside in the 40 degree cold, which they could care less about. And for the rest of the additional 5 hours I was finally being attended to, I literally sat on a folding chair in the hallway. I honestly didn't want to write this review after this experience last night because those who did attend to me - Dr Sauer, Adrian and Michael, they were top notch. And unlike many of the other people who work there, I'm actually empathetic. But my final straw is when I just had a very condescending nurse talk to me over the phone right now because I'm trying to get the name of the medication they gave me last night - which was not included in any of the paperwork - imagine that! How am I supposed to discuss the treatment I received with my regular doctor with this lack of information?!? Never again will I come back here.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
