Los Angeles Reproductive Center's Online Review Report Card

This is a continuation of my review on May 9, 2026. I went for a transvaginal ultrasound on May 9, 2026, and have been having a vibration feeling in my pelvic region on and off since 20 minutes after my transvaginal ultrasound. This vibration feeling is worse when I wake up in the middle of the night, and this vibration has now gone to the back of my head and sides at times. You can literally see and feel my abdomen vibrate and at times when I have this vibration feeling I feel like I am going to pass out. My ex-husband likes to pay people to do stuff, and I have had messing with everything since I left him. When I have that vibration feeling you can physically see the area vibrate and sometimes there is a weird pain in the area that is vibrating. This all started after going to Los Angeles Reproductive Center. I have no medical conditions to cause anything like this, and I have had a recent CT scan a year ago after being injected with an unknown substance, while out in public that was making my veins near my temples feel like they were expanding and there is nothing wrong on my CT scan of my head, or anything that would all of a sudden cause a vibration feeling. The vibration feeling and movement in my pelvic region and head started after going to this Los Angeles Reproductive Center. There are medical devices microbots that could also be used to cause this type of vibration that could be used to harm someone, that would cause something like this. These medical devices are used to help save people, but in the hands of someone else they could harm someone. Someone could also try to make a person look crazy with these medical devices. My ex-husband has tried to make me look crazy since I left him, so he can get full custody, so he does not have to pay child support for or four kids. It hasn't worked yet for the last 6 years, so I am not sure if this is his finale try. I never had anything like this since going to this facility and I do not have anything medical or psychiatric wrong with me, even though it may sound that way with this review. I just want to make sure anyone who has already gone here and has anything like this to report Dr Kalan and go to your medical provider. I never thought anything like this could happen after a transvaginal exam. If it is something like these medical devices causing this vibration they can go to other areas of your body if placed in your uterus, like brain ect. I had my consultation over the phone and was not planning on pursuing doing IUI with this doctor, I was just going to do the ultrasound that came with the consultation that I had already paid for. I never thought a transvaginal ultrasound could go so bad, I wish i would have listened to my intuition and skipped the transvaginal ultrasound with Dr. Kalan at Los Angeles Reproductive Center.

Strengths: Dr. Kalan has a good bedside manner. He saw us in most appointments. The IV nurse is gentle and skilled. Weaknesses: The embryology department here is the worst. They charged a lot more than other centers, but delivered worse results. The patient who had her ER before me wore perfume. Didn't the embryology department know perfume contaminates embryos? Here is what to expect when you get to the procedure room: someone from the embryology department will talk down to you indifferently from a small window far away, no greeting, no self introduction. The office is unorganized. Wait times can be long.

Dr. Kalan and team are amazing. My husband and I can’t be more grateful for them! It is a very clean facility and they take great care of their patients and address any questions or concerns they have.

I am beyond ecstatic that I chose LARC for my egg freezing journey. Dr. Kalan and staff were the most attentive, supportive, and communicative team. No question was too small, and they were always available to reach. I almost went with another company before I found LARC and I am so relieved I didn’t. For such an overwhelming and emotional experience, Dr. Kalan and team truly made it achievable. This is not an easy journey and I would recommend anyone going through this to choose LARC to be by your side. Thank you Dr. Kalan, Jennifer, and the rest of the staff and nursing team. By the time I met Dr. Kalan, he was the third doctor I had consulted with, and from the very first moment, I knew I was in the right place. Feeling safe was incredibly important to me as a survivor of multiple sexual assaults, including one that resulted in a pregnancy and miscarriage. I knew this process could be triggering, and I was initially nervous about having a male doctor. However, I can honestly say I have never felt safer or more respected with a provider than I have with Dr. Kalan. What stood out most is that he treated me like an individual, not a number. Throughout this process, I've learned that every fertility journey is different every body is different and he truly respected that and tailored my care accordingly. He made me feel heard, supported, and completely at ease during one of the most vulnerable experiences of my life. His bedside manner is exceptional, and his entire team reflects that same level of care and compassion. I just completed the first step of my journey and can confidently say I've found my fertility team. Even the hour-long drives to this location have been worth every minute. Saying goodbye to my nurse was unexpectedly emotional I was so grateful to have finally found a team that made this journey feel safe and manageable. I'm grateful this journey is not over and truly look forward to continuing to work with Dr. Kalan as I take the next steps in my fertility journey. From the bottom of my heart thank you team.

I moved my care from my home area of Seattle to work with LARC and Dr. Winkler and couldn’t be happier. The level of expertise, care, attention to detail, partnership, honesty and support we received far exceeded the experience in my local area. They worked with me for remote monitoring, finding the best pharmacy for cost and reliability as well worked with me on best timing for our family. Through successes and disappointments and some extra travel costs to sunny L.A. I still would never have taken my care elsewhere. I recommend if others are looking for best provider seek out care with Dr. Winkler and her team at LARC.

EXTREMELY Unorganized and LOVE to bill you over and over. Make up prices as they go along.

My wife had two egg extraction surgeries at this medical office. Only one embryo good for transfer. She was not pregnant. The doctor, coordinator, embryologist all spoke to her about donor eggs. This medical office cared about selling their donor eggs, not helping patients become parents. When my wife just received her pregnancy test, embryologist Yvonne asked her to consider external Asian egg donors. It was a nightmare. She had to visit a therapist for 3 months to heal from her experience before seeking fertility treatment at another medical office. She got three good embryos with only one egg extraction at the new office. Don’t lose precious time in a donor egg factory, go elsewhere.

I’m so thankful that I found this clinic! I’ve gone through two egg freezing cycles with LARC and I could not recommend it more. Jennifer Barajas was my main nurse and she is the best. So kind and supportive, and made the process feel less daunting. I had surgeries with both Dr. Kalan and Dr. Winkler and they are both awesome. Thank you to everyone on the LARC team ❤️
