By far the greatest pediatric GI specialist is Dr. Ron Bahar. We were fortunate enough to see Dr. Bahar when my son's PCP was only able to prescribe probiotics for his chronic tummy pain. Dr Bahar order labs plus genetic testing because of his symptoms plus his ethnicity, he was able to diagnose my son with FMF. Since my son started taking medication for FMF that Dr Bahar prescribed, all his symptoms have disappeared. Dr. Bahar also advised us to have family members undergo genetic testing. For the past three years, I have experienced chest tightness, pain, and discomfort that lasts for a few minutes to days and goes away on its own. I have seen a cardiologist, pulmonologist, endocrine and ENT MDs, and all my lab results were normal. After a negative chest CT, my PCP diagnosed me with anxiety and started me on Xanax PRN. So, during the past three years, I have become accustomed to my tight chest and occasionally being unable to take big breathes in. However, on the suggestion of Dr. Bahar, my family underwent genetic testing, and sure enough, my test revealed the FMF gene as well. I'm now taking medication that has resolved all my issues, and I'm thankful that Dr. Bahar prevented us from living in excruciating agony and suffering for the rest of our lives without receiving any care. My child and I visited several doctors, but none of them knew how to diagnose us. I can't even begin to picture what our lives would be like without a diagnosis. Dr. Bahar has been a wonderful doctor for my daughter. He was able to correctly diagnose her with abdominal migraines and treat her quite easily. He’s always caring and attentive to anything that we need. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a pediatric gastroenterologist. He’s amazing!!!

Dr. Bahar is an excellent doctor and outstanding person. He saved my daughters life. She started seeing him when she was four years old, and now she is 18 years, old, healthy, beautiful young lady. I can’t find words to say how amazing he is.

My son had pyloric stenosis that had been undiagnosed by our previous pediatrician, Dr. Boostanfar. Not only did Dr. Bahar assist us with this, but also two other gastro issues over the year that he tended to us. He was always respectful of our time, spot on in the diagnoses and I have referred several parents to him.
