Acuity is a national chain and seem to be a franchise business. When you call Rancho Santa Fe, Escondido, etc., locations you will get auto answer or put you on hold for hours. This is a bad business. Avoid them.

Simple but friendly visit! The workers there don’t keep you waiting for long and they get things done. I actually randomly picked this optometrist from my insurance list and I couldn’t be more happy! My insurance covered the glasses and the lens for free, but I get my second pair for 50 percent off and you can be well assured, I will be making the drive from San Marcos just to get my second pair of glasses! If you are unsure about this place, I recommend and it is a very fast visit so no excuses if you have no time to visit!

Cost extremely more to add transitions and any other types of protective layers. Extreme wait times, the glasses people are rude. You have to wait 30 minutes to 2 and half hours just to talk to the glasses people. Even the phone wait time to reach them is 30 minutes. They recently moved to a new location, when I went to pick up my glasses which took 3 months for them to make. They had the gall to tell me they were stolen. Like look I get it if it's stolen but they did not report it to their patients. The glasses cost $129 which honestly is the basic frame. Which I can get anywhere else. You can also get designer frames but they are extremely reluctant in giving discount. You also don't get the eye glasses cleaning cloth or cleaning liquid. Which you are normally supposed to get with the frame. They also accuse saying you didn't pay for the frame for a stupid cloth. Even when paid, they have few doctors. The nurses do all the work. 30-45 minute wait time to see nurse, 15 minutes there. 20-30 minutes more waiting only to see the doctor for 10 minutes. The front desk people are nice, they get things done. That's all they got going for them.

Don't come here if you NEED prescription glasses. It takes 4+ weeks for them to get them to you, even though they say it takes 2-to 3. No one calls you if there are delays for issues that occurred in their lab and you stay on hold FOREVER to get to the optical department. I still need to get prescription sunglasses, but I will be going somewhere else for that. My experience with the doctor was fine.FYI- Still have not received my glasses..

My experience at West Coast Eye Care was positive. Dr Avallone and staff were professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. I didn’t expect my week to turn out having to have emergency laser surgery. But, here I was with a team of expert. Thank you
